2022... When the full-scale war started, I was in Kharkiv. While the city was being bombed, I started evacuating people, driving into dangerous areas to get families out, then returning with humanitarian and military supplies.
As the war continued, I lost my home, apartment, cars, and several family members. I was left with no job, no money, and essentially nothing to rebuild from.

You know how I test if people actually understand what we're building at Worqen?
I live in Brazil, where people speak Portuguese.
My English isn't great. I can start conversations and keep them going, but it takes time, mistakes and practice.
So when I meet someone new, I show them Worqen and try to explain it - partly in Portuguese, partly in English.
And you know what?
People get it.
Today I met a neighbor. He asked what I do.
I told him:
"I'm building a platform for safe work."
He said:
"I'm the director of a digital studio."
And just like that, we found a potential business connection.

I came to Brazil to work remotely.
I didn’t have much money with me, so every dollar mattered.
Then I had a job where I did the work - and didn’t get paid.
It hit differently when you’re far from home and counting on every payment.
A friend of mine, Dmitry, came to me with an idea:
“What if the money was locked before the work started?”
That was the moment it clicked.
We didn’t need another place to find freelancers.
We needed a safer way to make the deal.
