The #CCP (Chinese Communist Party) is #not China.
The CCP tried to stop and #silence me at the UN Human Rights Council while I was delivering an oral statement to the Council on behalf of the German NGO Society for Threatened Peoples.
The issue is the CCP's ongoing persecution of #FalunGong and #forced organ harvesting of Falun Gong practitioners and other prisoners of conscience. This is a crime against humanity by the CCP.
First of all, I would like to express my deepest appreciation to the Vice President of the Human Rights Council, Mr Tareq Md Ariful Islam, for his very encouraging and remarkable support in rejecting the absurd request of the delegation of #Communist China. Finally, I was able to conclude my oral statement by speaking on behalf of the voiceless millions of victims of persecution in China.
I am also very grateful to the European Parliament for adopting the EU resolution on the ongoing persecution of Falun Gong, to the President of European Commission, Mrs Ursula von der Leyen @vonderleyen, to the Vice President of European Commission & High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Ms Kaja Kallas @kajakallas, to the former Vice President of European Commission & High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Mr Josep Borrell Fontelles @JosepBorrellF, to the Federal Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Mr Olaf Scholz @Bundeskanzler, to the German Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs, Ms Annalena Baerbock @ABaerbock, in particular to the Ambassador of the European Union to China, H.E. Jorge Toledo Albiñanaand @EUdelChina, to the German Ambassador to China, H.E. Dr. Patricia Hildegard Flor @GerAmbChina, to the Federal Government Commissioner for Religion and Belief, Mr Frank Schwabe @ReligionBund, to the Federal Government Commissioner for Human Rights Policy and Humanitarian Assistance, Ms Luise Amtsberg @DEonHumanRights, and to the German NGO Society for Threatened Peoples (in German: Gesellschaft für die bedrohte Völker) for their various rescue efforts to free my #parents from the ongoing persecution of Falun Gong.
My parents (father: Mr #DingYuande; mother: Mrs Ma Ruimei) are tea farmers and good people. My parents have been persecuted by the #CCP for more than 25 years solely because of their belief in the Chinese spiritual practice of #FalunGong. They have done #nothing against Chinese law.
Due to the ongoing persecution of Falun Gong by China’s communist regime, our family of three has been separated: My father Mr #DingYuande is being detained in the #Shandong Province Prison without any legal basis, my mother is under surveillance in our village after her release due to the rescue campaigns abroad, and I their only child am living in exile in #Berlin.
In Chinese prison my father is subjected to #torture, #brainwashing, forced labour and is at serious risk of #ForcedOrganHarvesting from Falun Gong practitioners and other prisoners of conscience by the CCP.
Despite being the only child in my family, I have not been able to see my parents in person for over 12 years. I haven’t been able to celebrate the #Chinese New Year with them. We haven’t even had an opportunity to share a single meal together or to take a #family photo.
In May 2023, my parents were #illegally arrested at home. Especially after my father was illegally sentenced in December 2023, my grandmother was distraught and in tears. She died suddenly on 05 February 2024 at the age of 82 and could not see my father for the last time. As a result, my father was unable to attend her funeral.
The #CCP is trying to #silence me because of my public and ongoing advocacy to free my parents and to end the ongoing CCP´s state crimes against all Falun Gong practitioners. I do #not feel safe in Germany and Europe.
In response to my appeal to end the ongoing state crimes against Falun Gong practitioners and to free my parents from the brutal persecution of Falun Gong in China, the European Parliament adopted the landmark EU resolution "The ongoing persecution of Falun Gong in China, notably the case of Mr #DingYuande (2024/2504(RSP))" on 18 January 2024 in Strasbourg.
In this landmark resolution, the European Parliament calls on the CCP and Communist China to unconditionally and immediately release my father, Mr Ding Yuande, and #all Falun Gong practitioners in China. This is the #first time in the history of the EU that both the European Parliament and the EU have taken rescue actions to free a Chinese #peasant family from the CCP's ongoing state crime.
In 2019, the China #Tribunal on Forced Organ Harvesting in London, chaired by Sir Geoffrey Nice QC, who previously led the prosecution of former Yugoslavian President Slobodan Milosevic at the International Criminal Tribunal, concluded that forced organ harvesting had taken place in China for years “on a #significant scale”, with Falun Gong practitioners being the “principal source” of the CCP´s ongoing state crimes.
Writing in The Diplomat, Ms Tasnim Nazeer @TasnimNazeer1, an award-winning journalist sanctioned by the CCP for her work to end the CCP's state crimes against Uyghurs, has revealed that the CCP has ordered a new global strategy against Falun Gong. The focus is on launching #disinformation campaigns through social media influencers and Western media and #weaponizing the American legal system to go after companies set up by Falun Gong practitioners.
Lawmakers from USA, UK and Sweden have also condemned the new #TransnationalRepression campaign and #espionage activities against Falun Gong.
In November 2024, the #California man John Chen was sentenced to 20 months in prison for a #TransnationalRepression plot targeting Falun Gong practitioners in the #USA. @TheJusticeDept
After the U.S. House of Representatives passed the Falun Gong Protection Act on 25 June 2024, several U.S. Senators and U.S. Representatives reintroduced the Falun Gong Protection Act on a bipartisan basis in both the U.S. Senate on 3 March 2025 and the House of Representatives on 24 February 2025.
Both the aforementioned European Parliament´s resolution of 18 January 2024 and the Falun Gong Protection Act aim to #sanction all perpetrators and entities that have contributed to the persecution of Falun Gong in China and abroad.
It is time to #end the CCP´s ongoing state crimes against Falun Gong practitioners and other prisoners of conscience.
Indeed, the very existence of the CCP threatens the #peace and #security of the free world of democratic countries.
The CCP is #not China. It is time for the free world of democratic countries to end the #dictatorship of the CCP and to end the #CCP.

Since July 1999, when then–Chinese Communist Party leader Jiang Zemin launched a nationwide campaign against Falun Gong, practitioners have faced arbitrary detention, torture, and, most gravely, the forcible harvesting of their organs.
In 2019, an independent tribunal in London concluded that this constitutes crimes against humanity, with Falun Gong practitioners likely the main source of organs. Investigators have since documented the same system being used against Uyghurs on an industrial scale.
Human lives are not commodities, and the world must not look away.

On Oct. 9, 2026, a Chinese woman threatened a Falun Gong practitioner at an event in central Athens, Greece. During the two-day event, practitioners from across Europe joined the Tian Guo Marching Band in four parades through the city, calling for an end to the Chinese Communist Party’s persecution of Falun Gong.
According to the practitioner, Ms. Teng, the woman interrupted her while she was speaking with two tourists from China, photographed her, and said she would send the photos to the Chinese Embassy. The woman also warned that Ms. Teng would never be able to return to China.
Greek police intervened and told the woman to delete the photos. She refused but ultimately left the site.
We are grateful to the Greek police for protecting practitioners’ right to gather peacefully and express themselves freely. Threatening to report someone to the Chinese Embassy or warning of consequences back in China amounts to exporting the Chinese Communist Party’s persecution, and it should have no place on Europe’s streets or anywhere else in the world.

During Xi Jinping’s visit to Washington, D.C. on September 24, 2026, pro-Beijing counter-demonstrators attacked a Falun Gong practitioner who was peacefully protesting the Chinese Communist Party’s persecution of the practice.
The attack occurred at 3:23 p.m. According to the victim, she was thrown to the ground, repeatedly struck, and bitten. It followed hours of intimidation, during which counter-demonstrators tried to seize practitioners’ banners and sang CCP songs with anti-American lyrics.
This is what a Communist Party leader’s visit brings to America: violence and suppression.
We are grateful to the police officers who stepped in and handcuffed the assailant. Now we urge authorities to go further by treating attacks like this as the transnational repression they are and holding those responsible accountable.

FDIC Director of Digital Outreach Ben Maloney shares his reflections on the 27th anniversary of the Chinese Communist Party’s persecution of Falun Gong, and why it is important for the world to understand what Falun Gong actually is.
Today, as Falun Gong is practiced freely in countries around the world, the persecution in China continues and increasingly extends beyond China’s borders.

It has been a great honor and privilege to express my deepest gratitude to you @gahler_michael @MiriamMLex @EnginEroglu_FW @MAStrackZi for your tremendous support and #remarkable efforts to free my parents from the ongoing persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China!
It is thanks to your powerful actions that the European Parliament adopted the #historic EU resolution entitled “The ongoing persecution of #FalunGong in China, notably the case of Mr Ding Yuande (P9_TA(2024)0037)”. In this resolution, the European Parliament strongly urges the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to immediately and unconditionally release my father, Mr Ding Yuande, and calls on the EU and its Member States to impose #sanctions on those responsible for the ongoing persecution of Falun Gong practitioners.
Your remarkable efforts have also contributed to the release of my father, Mr. Ding Yuande, from the #Shandong Province Prison.
Your steadfast support has made a historic milestone: the European Parliament, the European Union @eu_eeas, and the German Federal Government have joined forces to advocate for the release of my father, Mr. Ding Yuande, a Chinese #farmer and #FalunGong practitioner who was targeted by the CCP’s state-led campaign to #eradicate Falun Gong.
I am also deeply grateful to the European citizens, lawmakers, NGO representatives, journalists, human rights defenders and fellow Falun Gong practitioners who have signed letters of protest addressed to the Chinese Embassy in Germany and the local authorities in my hometown of #Rizhao City, Shandong Province.
As a result of these collective efforts, my father was released from prison on February 27, 2026, with his prison sentence reduced by three months.
No one should ever be persecuted simply for their #faith or beliefs. May the 27-year-long persecution of Falun Gong finally come to an end very soon!

The U.S. Department of Justice is seeking to revoke the citizenship of Ping Li, a 61-year-old naturalized American who pleaded guilty to acting as an agent of the CCP’s Ministry of State Security.
According to court filings, Li spent more than a decade gathering intelligence on Falun Gong practitioners, Chinese dissidents, pro-democracy advocates, and U.S. organizations for the CCP, including personal information on Falun Gong practitioners.
The case may be the first in years in which the U.S. government has sought to strip citizenship from a CCP agent for carrying out transnational repression on American soil.
Li’s case sends a powerful message: those who assist the CCP in targeting persecuted communities in the United States can face serious consequences: including conviction, denaturalization, and deportation.

"This is a centerpiece of what totalitarian regimes do, and how they maintain control" @JanJekielek
Jan Jekielek on how the Chinese Communist Party manufactures enemies.
In China the Party has long designated “black classes”—groups marked for seizure, isolation, and worse.
After 1949 it was landowners. Later it was rightists, intellectuals, and the students of 1989.
In 1999 Jiang Zemin named Falun Gong practitioners the newest target and ordered the practice eradicated. The method was the same each time: control the channels of information, then repeat that these people are dangerous and contemptible until large parts of the population grow accustomed to seeing them harmed.
Falun Gong had no hierarchy, collected no money, and centered on the principles of truthfulness, compassion, and tolerance, along with slow exercises.
By the late 1990s estimates of practitioners ran from 70 to 100 million—larger than the Party itself.

74-year-old Falun Gong practitioner Cao Ping died in Shaanxi Province Women’s Prison in April 2026 while serving an eight-year sentence for her faith.
Her family was never told how she died. When they briefly viewed her body, they saw large bruises on her legs and were pressured to agree to immediate cremation.
In Ms. Cao’s final phone call with people outside the prison, she suddenly said, “It’s too cruel.” According to reports, a guard monitoring the call cut her off before she could finish and changed the subject. She did not explain what she meant, and her family has had no further account of her treatment.
