How I would learn to code in 2024 (if I could start over):
(WARNING this is NOT for people who want to get a 9-5 but for those who want to learn to code fast, build a business, and quit their 9-5)

Why would a large organization invest in advanced web analytics solutions without creating any custom events or reports in GA4?

When I started doing SEO back in 2016, it was like this:
You check Google results and if you want to rank on position 1 you just publish something better (bigger, more in depth, better research, etc.) than the current results.
Almost guaranteed, the best content was getting position 1, even if it was a new website - content was king.
Now, this is no longer the case.
Today only authority sites (Forbes, CNN, Amazon, Reddit) rank for most queries.
You can produce the best possible article on the internet and you most probably won't get anything in return.
No first page of Google, no traffic, nothing.
Unfortunately, there are many consequences of this change:
1/ Bloggers are no longer incentivized to write better content, so Google results are not improving.
2/ Authority sites are not interested in writing the best possible content because they can rank with mediocre content.
3/ Google is not serving the best content on the planet, and people are looking elsewhere.
If I'm looking for a book, I search on Good Reads.
If I'm looking for a recipe, Is search on Tik Tok.
If I need a product, I search on Amazon.
Or I can use Perplexity for in depth research of any topic.
Etc.
Game over Google.
There are three common pitfalls in the maze of modern web analytics:
No Clear Roadmap for Measurement - Without a defined strategy, understanding what to measure becomes guesswork. It's like sailing without a compass. 🎯
Messy and Meaningless Reports - Reports are often cluttered with data that doesn't translate into actionable insights. It's like trying to find a needle in a haystack. 📷
Random Marketing Campaigns - Running campaigns without data-driven direction? That's like throwing darts blindfolded. 📷📷
Let's streamline our analytics to focus on what truly matters. #WebAnalytics #MarketingStrategy #DataDriven

Started my GA4 learning journey today. Key thing I learned: GA4 uses an event-based data model. In GA4, every interaction is an event. Even pageviews! Much simpler than UA's category/action/label model. #GA4Learning
