Grateful for the opportunity to join #GIRAF Gherbal Integrity Reform & Accountability Forum, held in Beirut, last week. With @UNDP_Lebanon, we contributed to two panels:
1️⃣ Learning from anticorruption experiences across MENA countries
2️⃣ Donor coordination and accountability

My humble contribution to a great leader indeed:
“Helen Clark’s leadership has been instrumental in strengthening the EITI’s commitment to transparency, accountability and meaningful civil society participation during a period of profound global change. Her ability to navigate difficult conversations, build consensus across diverse constituencies and uphold the importance of civic space has reinforced the EITI’s multi-stakeholder model.”
As civil society, we are particularly grateful for her recognition that transparency must go beyond disclosure to empower citizens, drive accountability and ensure that natural resource wealth benefits people and communities.
