Nearly every brand identity I've built ends up needing the social media posts / cards
And I think I know why. These are the things people can actually picture
We see them every day on our feeds
So when someone imagines their brand out in the world, this is what shows up in their head first
Maybe that's why these are the assets I end up making the most
Most founders tend to overlook brand guidelines
They feel it's something they don't really need yet, especially when they're still early stage
But even a simple brand guideline can go a long way
It keeps your product looking consistent across all your touchpoints
And that consistency does more for an early brand than people usually expect
AI has changed branding.
Now I can just vibe code a small custom tool. It makes custom vector visuals related to the brand in seconds.
So I get to try a bunch of options first. Then I pick the best one. Something that used to take days now takes 30 minutes.
So it's not really about what you can create anymore.
Anyone can create anything right now.
The hard part is knowing what should be created. And what to actually choose for your brand.
And that's what a good designer does for you.
