I did the brand identity for context(.)dev (YC S26) in 3 days They're backed by YC and they needed the whole thing done fast They didn't want to change their logo, but they wanted a completely new brand around it So here's how the 3 days went Day 1: I did the mood boards. I made 4 different options so they could see a few directions, and they picked the one they liked the most Day 2: I made 3 visual identity concepts based on that mood board. Each one had 8 slides showing how the brand could actually look when it's being used Day 3: Once they picked a concept, day 3 was all about building it out. I extended the brand, made the brand assets and put together the brand guidelines, which ended up being around 34 pages I also made a custom shader for them in those 3 days, which I'm pretty happy I managed to fit in Honestly the project was tough. With a timeline that short you have to turn things around really fast and there's not much room to go back and forth But it was fun and worth it Need a distinct brand identity for your startup? I’ve stopped using Photoshop for my mockups (mostly) I generate all my mockups with ChatGPT now, it’s really good at image generation, especially anything that looks like real photography The tricky part was always putting the actual design on it Whenever I gave ChatGPT the design and asked it to place it on the mockup, it would mess things up The logo would change, extra things would show up, etc So I always had to open Photoshop and place the original design myself Now Claude does that part Once I have the mockup, I ask Claude what canvas size I need based on the mockup size I design at that size, give both to Claude and tell it to place the design on the mockup & match the lighting & texture It doesn’t change anything in the design, it just puts the actual design on the image So now every client project gets its own custom mockups, made for that brand Has honestly been a game changer for me

I made the initial design direction myself Then told claude to iterate on the design while following the established style & hierarchy It did a fantastic job The only thing left now is taste (should keep on evolving, not just do what's trendy) & the idea
