1/ The future of general-purpose robotics will be decided by one major question: which flavor of data scales reasoning? Every major lab represents a different bet.
Over the past 3 months, @adam_patni, @vriishin, and I read the core research papers, spoke with staff at the major labs, and mapped the talent pool. This has completely changed how we think about general-purpose robotics.
Our paper builds intuition, step-by step, across the 2025 frontier: from architectures → evals → data → industry dynamics. Each layer reveals a different bottleneck, but they all converge on one truth—data decides everything.
Our takeaways + process below👇

Post of gratitude for Devin Morris (@devmo_4) , our Operations Lead at daydream. 🙏
Devin shows unrelenting positivity in the face of every challenge we've faced at daydream. One of our other team members once used the term "Devin energy," which refers to a very specific easygoing, happy energy that comes out *especially* in difficult times.
It's easy to be positive when things are up and to the right, but it's a different type of person that can maintain that during the lows. Devin also has one of the strongest work ethics I've seen, regularly going beyond what's been expected of him.
Shoutout Devin, and thank you for everything you do! 👏

I regret to inform you that personal growth rarely comes from acquiring new knowledge and always from periods of intense humility (i.e. your ego finally relenting)
to say that buildspace changed my life would be an understatement
i wouldn't be where i am today without them
thank you @FarzaTV for taking a risk on me before i ever took a risk on myself
& thank you to the @_buildspace community for inspiring the builder in me ❤️💙💛💚
I have some tough news.
Today, @_buildspace is closing.
I wanna be real about everything.
It’s not because of investor pressure, runway, internal drama, monetization, or any of those reasons.
The actual reason is a bit more personal.
I wrote a letter about it below.
I know this company means so much to so many people. I hope after reading the letter, you can understand.
Ty for the five best years of my life.
No matter what happens, ily.

I've used every editing software out there.
They're all trash.
For context, I've been editing since I was 8 years old.
I started with Windows Movie Maker.
Making silly homemade videos, skateboarding vids, & counterstrike source gameplays.
Then I made my way onto Vegas Pro, Final Cut Pro, Da Vinci Resolve & then landed with Premiere Pro.
Making music videos, random montages, weddings, & commercial shoots.
Great products but they're becoming boomer software.
Trying to appeal to the mass with fancy AI gimmicks.
I want to change that.
I know how hard it is to make good videos.
And I know I'm not the only videographer who has thought of this idea.
Videographers aren't coders, they're artists.
It's about time there was a company made by editors.
For editors.
Introducing The Editor Company.
