#WordPress staging sites are great, but I do most of my testing locally or with third-party tools. It's faster and more convenient.
Two I recommend:
1. @devkinsta. Always have a local site running.
2. @insta_wp. Spin up a site by typing wp.new in your browser.

Upgrading PHP versions (at scale like we have to @kinsta) is always challenging. But we do this for the clients. I know everyone is busy. But taking care of your website should be on your list, even if it means a PHP upgrade. Just like you fix the office printer or the company car, shouldn't be a difference, in 2023 your website is more crucial than ever.
This pie chart is from wporg, so many sites are running on outdated and unsupported PHP versions putting these sites at risk. Every host should follow best practices, help their user base and make sites safer. Please don't allow years-old versions.
