With the British gov set to approve the Jackdaw gas field, it’s worth pointing out that “ending neoliberalism” isn’t concordant with handing development of our natural resources to one of the world’s largest energy multinationals and a public company owned by a foreign state.

Entire country is on its arse, Minority groups are under attack by a new wave of Nazism, your Bills are going up 25%, but all you get, is wall to wall "Antisemitism" & how criticism of Israel is somehow worse than The genocide they're guilty of. Aren't you all fucking tired?!
BREAKING: A landmark government report is set to reveal the vast scale of antisemitism in English schools and colleges, Sky News can exclusively reveal. The report, written by former schools inspector Sir David Bell, will on Wednesday set out 27 recommendations to create change.

this is a bad decision. as shit as twitter is, this is where political discussions happen online. nobody uses bluesky/mastodon/threads.
Following a vote by our party Council, the Scottish Greens will no longer be posting on Twitter/X. We have serious concerns about the site's direction of travel, particularly how it has spread misinformation and hate You can still find us on other platforms.

EXCL: Manchester City were invited and took part in a government trade delegation to India this week, despite the Premier League charges. Bev Craig, Andy Burnham’s successor as mayor, took a club representative to Delhi and Mumbai on a trip organised by business secretary Jonathan Reynolds, where she and other mayors have been promoting British trade and tourism. She defended the decision to invite City even as the PM came under fire for his own contacts with the club, telling the Guardian it had played a vital role in helping build infrastructure in her city. I'm the only Jewish leader of a political party. I'm a victim of Antisemitism every day and I've made it clear Jewish people are welcome in my party. You're a Prime Minister who arms a genocide and locks pensioners up for opposing it.

I visit church food banks weekly to meet some of my service users. It’s been almost eight years and I’ve yet to see one of these faux Christians offer to volunteer at any of them in any capacity. Funny that. Probably too busy with the lampposts and roundabouts

Massive thanks to both clubs, Sky, and all Motherwell and Celtic fans today for paying such a totally respectful tribute. A great display for Danny McGrain too. All the best to Danny and his family
A minute's applause before kick-off to remember Motherwell’s former chairman, Brian McCafferty, who died at the age of 79.

Today’s Daily Record has a feature about my research on the closure of Cardowan colliery in Lanarkshire. It was pivotal in the build up to the 1984-85 miners’ strike and breaking union power. For more, read my new book, An Injury to All: The Unmaking of the British Working Class.

Two sources are about to bombard the Greens with demands they move to the right: 1. Former leaders and their allies who never took the party anywhere near to winning a by-election. 2. Hostile commentators and political opponents who are relieved by the result.
