Maryland Democrats have poured nearly half a million dollars in support to state Sen. Shaneka Henson (D-Anne Arundel) as she seeks to become the first Black senator elected to represent the county, intensifying what has become one of the state's most contentious legislative races. The Maryland Democratic Senate Caucus Committee reported $488,399 in in-kind contributions to Henson's campaign over the past two months, but the race has fractured the party over her voting record on abortion access and LGBTQ+ rights, with some Democrats backing Republican nominee Jessica Haire despite the district's 44-year Democratic hold.

For over 3 years I’ve been following the case of Demetrius Kern after he was arrested by Cleveland Heights, Ohio police officers for not producing his ID… Mr. Kern had been falsely arrested and charged after he was almost hit by a police cruiser driven by Officer Carly Lewis, whose video deposition was featured back in January of this year… That arrest was made primarily at the direction of Officer Lewis’s supervisor, Sgt. Naftali Wolf, whose video deposition was featured in February of this year. At the end of that video, I mentioned that the civil lawsuit against them was still pending, and that the parties were waiting on the judge to rule on the officers’ request for qualified immunity….

Raven-Symoné CLARIFIED her controversial comments after previously questioning whether That’s So Raven and her character Raven Baxter were inherently “BLACK,” explaining that she never denied the show centered around a Black family, but that its appeal went BEYOND RACE and connected with audiences worldwide 👀 “People from every country watched a Black family, but they saw themselves in that family... which means we were universal.”

The View isn't the best-paying job she's ever had, and she says very few famous people are making the money you read about. Whoopi Goldberg, on Baby, This is Keke Palmer. "The truth of the matter is very few of us are actually making the kind of money you're reading about" "If I had that kind of money and I love my job, I don't know that I'd still be doing it." "I never married well." "You must always have your own hell with it money." Most people assume a seat at that table means you're set for life. She says the opposite out loud, then tells a younger woman to keep money of her own no matter who she marries. Smart advice or cynical? ft: @KekePalmer Baby, This is Keke Palmer on youtube

What the hell is happening? This rise in mediocrity, how did we get here? These people just took the words out of my mouth. And it’s not even the rise in influencer culture and “relatability”, there’s something more sinister going on.
