Riftbound rc ON metal prizes being pure placement is good for integrity and bad for how the game will look lol. There will not be a lot of legends making day 2. Best of system not including set 1 2 legends is very strange considering the amt of support Leona/lee/sett got set5

Info thread about the SNK Championship Series 2026 Finals, which will be hosted this weekend in China featuring GO1, Xiaohai, Nemo, M', and more of Asia's best for CotW and KOFXV.
The event is the culmination of a series of qualifiers hosted throughout 2026, with a total prize pool of ¥760,000 CNY (≃ 113K+ USD). The finals consists of 16 players for CotW and 8 for KOFXV, and both will be played in double elimination brackets. Two players will qualify for SWC 2026 Finals for both titles.
Friday will kick off the first round of CotW, Saturday will be all of KOFXV, and Sunday will then finish CotW, with each day starting around 2AM US eastern time.

After some more testing I've "landed" here with my Riven list featuring Astral Heron. I've really enjoyed this list, feels incredibly strong even without the bird in play. Video coming out tomorrow discussing it in further detail! Some notes:
- T1 Unit -> T2 Riven to BF move to base w/ buff -> T3 Blade of the Exile is really strong and easy to snowball with.
- Being able to pull out +4M from Battle Preparations+ Discipline at reaction speed with 2 runes open feels treacherous.
- When Bird is out, game feels pretty much packed up for my opponent. Then proceeding to drop a Baron feels like a sin.
- Coming from Akali last set, this feels like the same deck on steroids.
- SB is a bunch of matchup specific stuff, will go into further detail in the video.

in tcgs there's terminology of 'putting you on x' as making a play that is winning unless they have a specific out/card, and the other day i was playing fighting games and saying it's good to spend bar, even inefficiently in kof, to 'put me on throw' (less than 100 health) xd

matri TW you know i love it but it can asw be literally anything else. Barrowing combo is more stuff to pass up on with captain but TW is fetchable which is awesome. Also theres too many OP 2drops stranger can be TT too
think ppl are overrating eve sig spell. good but i dont see it being that crazy
radiance has a lot of combo cards compared to prev sets; combo cards that aren't powerful on their own aren't as powerful as op solo cards. bellows watcher individual cards r strong.

I think this is the strongest card in the set, giving all hook decks stack deck is crazy. Can draw plenty of other cards.

I rly like this card. Sure I played Renekton and he is bad. it’s just cool to burn runes. Decks with decent draw and hidden options can feasibly play a very aggressive gameplan now while supporting high power costs like punch/rebuke/switch/star. Mostly mad this isn’t in vendetta

Ended up going 8-4 at RQLA
Overall still really happy with my list and how Akali performed. Seeing so many more players make Day 2/Top 64 with the legend was awesome to see
