The dominant view in historical-critical scholarship is that the earliest Christians, and probably Jesus, expected the end within a generation. Readings that avoid that conclusion are overwhelmingly from scholars with a prior commitment that Jesus couldn't have erred.

I’m giving you another clear example that corroborates the weakness of your apologetic. Or did you want to stop at the page break now?
Many scriptures point to the expectation among early Christians that the parousia was imminent.

Mithril bitch blocked me so I can’t reply directly, but you’re really onto something there! You have to reconcile those people, not me. I absolutely cast out Moses too (mythical figure anyway).
Reconcile worshipping a God that condoned slavery and commanded genocide.

I suppose Moses should be cast out too? I mean you’d have to take on his permitting and regulating slavery otherwise. How about Samuel and the destruction of the Amalekites? Or the various prophets that practiced polygamy? No, prophets are people too.

Normalize teaching youth consent & respect
Normalize teaching youth their worth isn’t what they “haven’t done”
Normalize teaching youth to ask questions w/out fear
Normalize teaching youth that shame isn’t a virtue & confusing the 2 produces anxious adults, not righteous ones
