From the section of "The Role of 'Superior Artisan'";
"A brand-new method was created, when Hayreddin Barbarossa Pasha became the head of the Ottoman navy. Barbarossa preferred his galleys black and low. Because in this way, their galleys could make sudden attacks without being seen from afar. It is, for this reason, that until the end of the 16th century, the basis of the Ottoman navy was the galley class, which was the most advanced warship of the Ottomans."
