1-way coupled #DEM #simulation using #Aspherix, based on a pre-calculated flow field of #water flowing over a weir. Rubber #ducks each consisting of 2000 spheres are released on the flowing water, float downstream and eventually hit the weir structure and capsize.

See this #simulation showing a Li-ion cell between two horizontal electrodes. As the distance between the two electrodes decreases, the electric current through the cell increases. A stronger current implies a higher Joule heating and the reaching of higher temperatures.
