We're not aware of any official plan to require households to reapply for SNAP. Any change to the application process would require Congress to amend existing law. Most households need to submit info every 6 months to maintain their benefits, but this is NOT a reapplication.

Yesterday, Mayor Wu signed my Surplus Municipal Property for Affordable Housing Ordinance into law. This new law ensures that when city buildings go offline, they’re first considered for affordable housing. Thank you to all the advocates and community members who made this possible!
