We've officially launched our first electric double deck buses! The six new Wrightbus StreetDeck Electroliners were unveiled yesterday at a special event at Sneinton Market Square and will soon enter service on the Lilac 27 to Carlton. The launch was attended by the @MayorEastMids whose £4.5m investment through the @EastMidsCCA has supported the introduction of the new buses. Full story: nctx.co.uk/electric-double-d…

Following the announcement that CT4N has ceased trading, Nottingham City Transport will step in and replace their 18 service between Nottingham, QMC, Beeston Rylands, Beeston, Bramcote and Stapleford from Monday 17th August 2026. More details here: nctx.co.uk/Service18

A great first week operating Hopper! We’ve enjoyed meeting students and staff across the @UniofNottingham campuses and getting the service up and running smoothly. We’ve welcomed fifteen new colleagues from Arriva to the NCT family and you’ll see their familiar, friendly, faces on the hopper routes again from Sunday. We’ve had a great weekend celebrating a century of South Notts! Preserved and associated South Notts buses travelled along the route yesterday including a visit to @GCRNottingham, with a special Open Day at @NHVCharity today. Members of the founding Dabell family joined us yesterday, along with former South Notts colleagues and members of the @bartonsplc family, recognising their involvement in South Notts. Thank you to everyone who joined us and made it all possible. Here’s to the next 100 years 🎉
