Proud to have been part of this campaign to remove barriers and open up opportunities for everyone #AccessibleTransport #CatchTheBusMonth #CTBM26
Yesterday, Andy Burnham took questions in Parliament for the first time as PM - and I thanked him for scrapping time restrictions on disabled bus passes.
He credited our campaign in Parliament. After nearly two years of pushing, that meant a lot - and it’s genuinely refreshing to see cross-party working deliver a real change.
But the job isn’t done.
There are still loads of barriers that people with disabilities face, including the postcode lottery which applies to companion bus passes - which is why I’ve asked the PM to fix that next.
