Honestly you should pass some sort of basic humanitarian evaluation to teach, doctor, govern, and rent out property. Anything involving the health and well being of human beings should not be allowed to get to this state. How awful.
Man. I grew up watching Friends every night with my family. Then when I found out Matthew Perry fought through addiction, became sober, and dedicated time and energy to helping other addicts, my respect for him skyrocketed. I’m gutted. We lost a great one.
Parents, I am begging you to look at your family. Look at your children, grown or not. Read this and see who that is, and for the love of that child, help them, and heal them.
Those of us past that point of intervention- we have work to do.

I learned today that South Korean women are doing a full blown birth & relationships strike to combat misogyny and other structural issues in their society, enough that it’s actually statistically affecting birth rates and causing the govt to talk about changing policies.

When you're an autistic person you have to take neurotypical people's comforting lines of "I'm sure it'll be fine" with a giant mountain of salt, especially when it comes to social interactions and how you'll be received. I always get friendly-tricked into believing it. 🤦
Just once I would love for people who claim “but muh tax money” when it comes to welfare programs to have to endure the same maze of phone systems, bizarre operating hours, and flaky personnel that we have to deal with.
