We're hiring engineers/design engineers to build tools on the Design Foundations team at @mercury -- we're a team redefining the craft of our UI, creative product expression, and how we build products.
Are you obsessed with building custom design tools? Are you using AI to fine tune expressive interaction patterns?
lets talk.

Iβve built a sourcing talent agent for my open roles bc iβm tired of sourcing firms and slow internal talent acquisition.
On that note.
Iβm hiring a creative coder/design technologist and Senior design manager for my global org.
I freaking love stream graphs.

ALT A dark mode view of two charts, one is a hex grid that changes hue from dark grey, through dark to light purple, to white when completed. The second one is a force stream graph which centers the weight of a lane's volume and stacks it outward from the center, like layers of colored sand separated by their layers.
I am finally getting the hang of this whole creating an ai from scratch.
It is so anti-hallucination and honest that it refuses to do anything. Granted, itβs very direct about why it canβt. Probably its best quality.
What licensed it to do the thing that it was asked to do?
Who's out there building AI? not the people building with it, but like the people doing the work to push it further?

weβre growing the design team btw
Since the start of the year, @OpenCode (YC W21) β an open source alternative to Claude Code and Codex that works with any model β exploded to 4.6 million weekly active users, 13 million monthly actives, and roughly $40M in annualized revenue.
In this episode of The Lightcone, @harjtaggar, @snowmaker, and @sdianahu talk with Jay V (@jayair), OpenCodeβs CEO, about whatβs driving this wild growth, the Anthropic clampdown that inadvertently fueled it, and the almost 20 year founder journey that led him here.

Replying to @grepmoney
OpenAI literally published that Codex-Max uses 30% fewer thinking tokens via more effective reasoning. Turns out peak efficiency sounds like a caveman trying to file a Jira ticket.
