Guys... le sigh. Relax a bit. We know CihAl are gonna learn about their baby's gender together. Besides, we already know Alya is saved etc etc. So whoever does whatever, they fail and CihAl are together. That's all that matters. #CihAl #UzakŞehir

As a fan of #UzakŞehir, firstly - thank you very much, canım. I have no sense and no reason, and I am quite okay with it. But you should be okay with people's perspectives, tastes, and free will, and with what the subject Uzak Şehir is teaching all of us. Secondly, please click the link and read the answer to your question. In this article, 30+ people gave their opinions on your question about "romanticizing" this show: shorturl.at/BRwkj I would ask all of you who come to this platform only to vent your frustrations to find some productive hobbies and turn your negative energy into something constructive, for your families if not for society and the world. #CihAl #SinemÜnsal #OzanAkbaba

Gelelim biraz da Alya'nın şiddetli yoğun sevgisine.. Şu nişanı izledi anı kast ediyorum aslında.. O yoğun şiddetli sevgisini hissettiğimiz o acımasız ana.. Mesela Cihan, böyle bir tabloya dayanabilir miydi? Asıl sorumuz bu olmalı.. Mesela onun, nikah masasında Alya ve Enver'i izleyecek kadar gücü olduğunu pek düşünmüyorum.. Nitekim yok ki izlemedik zaten.. Senaristin bile gücü yetmedi Cihan'ı oraya getirmeye.. Onun yerine taşları kıran bir Cihan izledik.. Cesareti ancak taşları kırmaya yetiyordu çünkü.. O tabloya dayanamazdı Cihan.. Peki gelelim Alya'ya tekrardan.. Nişana geliş amacı çok başkaydı.. Cihan'a ulaşmak için edindiği yolu söyleme cesaretiyle gidiyordu.. Ne olacaksa olsun.. Gerekirse dünya yıkılsın.. Fakat Cihan'ın mecburiyetiyle karşılaştığı an, yine Cihan'a ulaşamadığını anlayıp geri çekilmişti.. "Meryem" ismini duyduğu an bile fenalaşan o kadından eser yoktu artık.. Devam edelim.. Sahnenin mizanseni gittikçe değişiyor.. İzlemenin ikinci adımına geçiyoruz.. Sadakat'in Cihan'a kız istediği ana.. Alya cümleleri duyduğu an gözyaşlarına hâkim olamıyor.. Bu da bir sevgilinin kayıp anıydı.. Alya, sevdiği birini ilk defa kaybediyordu.. Bir gün önce arabada yaşadığı o kaybetme anını, ertesi gün somutlaşmış hâliyle yaşıyordu.. Ve son an geliyor.. Sadakat'in Cihan'a birbirinizi tebrik edin dediği ana.. Kaybolmak istiyordu.. Onu orada tutan tek sebep, artık başkasına aitti.. Tüm aidiyetini kaybetmişti o an.. Bu topraklara, Cihan'a aidiyetini koparmışlardı artık.. Her an dönebilir onları birbirine kenetleyebilir.. Bu seçimi Cihan'a bırakmak demek benim nezdimde..
Cihan karakterini ilk on iki bölüm izleyiciden saklayan biri olarak, sorulan soruları her zaman geç cevaplıyor.. Bu da hikaye dilindeki en sevdiğim anlatım.. Sezon başlamadan önce kan-soy meselesinin oralarda dolaşacağımızı ifade etmiştim bir yorumunda.. Tam da istediğim kıvama geldi bu konu.. Bir soy savaşı içine gireceğiz.. Hem de öyle böyle değil.. Sadakat'in karşı cephe olabileceği bir düzende.. Ve yine öfkeyle kalktı Ecmel'in karşısına çıktı.. Her daim aklı onu koruyan kısım.. Bunu açıkça gösterdi dün Cihan'a.. Aidiyet duygusu.. Cihan'a hiçbir zaman sahip olamama dürtüsü.. Uzak Şehir'i "Uzak Şehir" yapan etmenler, işte bu zor kümülatif oyunculukların aktarımıdır.. Daha da verimli bölümler temenni ediyorum şimdiden.. #UzakŞehir

Two rivers, one sea: the captain's tale from 33rd ep and the child coming to Alya and Cihan have lovely meaning. In the 33rd episode, a boat captain tells Deniz a story about rivers. The Tigris rises in faraway mountains. Its path is long and its flow is fast. The Euphrates is calmer and flows deeply. They begin on different paths, and they always search for each other. Sometimes mountains come between them and sometimes their paths diverge, and years pass like this. They never give up on each other, and they finally meet before reaching the sea. When they come together, abundance comes to these lands, and life becomes beautiful. Deniz answers in a handful of words: "Very beautiful. Just like my mom and dad." A fairy tale told on a boat to a child holds a great deal. It gives the couple a geometry of temperament, a list of obstacles, a rule for how they find each other, and a picture of what their union produces. With a new life now waiting inside Alya, every part of that picture takes on a second meaning. The tale hands each river a personality, and the personalities settle onto #CihAl. Mountains, bends and the long search The captain names three things that keep the rivers apart: mountains, diverging paths and years. The series has supplied each of them. The mountains are the obligations that bind Cihan, the Albora honor code, Sadakat's grip, and now a marriage he agreed to for the family's sake. Another mountain rose in ep69, when Cihan came to believe that Alya had married Enver. The diverging paths are Budapest and every other door she has closed behind her. The years are the ones fans have watched pass across 3 seasons. Under all of that runs the sentence that gives the tale its engine: they always search for each other. Both rivers search. Cihan searches by calling a number she changed, by standing at a door in a country she moved to, by running between cars to reach his son. Alya searches by returning, by keeping the necklace and the ring through months of distance, by walking toward the konak with joy in her hands. Neither river waits to be found. In the trailer for ep71, the search takes its smallest and most intimate form. He has registered that something in her has shifted. He can't yet read it, because it's our Ciho, the clan leader; he isn't great in detecting the pregnency. Where the rivers meet The captain's tale ends with a convergence, and abundance comes to the land when this happens, and the image he reaches for is fertility. A pregnancy is the first place in the series where Alya's current and Cihan's current share one body. In a story tested again and again by who belongs to which house, which name and which bloodline, a child who holds both currents gives belonging a new answer. The abundance the captain promises takes the form of a person. The hospital scene in ep70 shows how much that abundance costs Alya to receive. The doctor asks whether she came alone. She says "Alone," hears it, and says "I am alone," now as a sentence about her life. Joy and loneliness arrive on her face together, because a woman whose history is uprooting has no ready channel for good news. The tale gives that moment its direction. The Tigris has run through hard country for a very long time, and the junction is ahead of it, near enough now to feel. A sea = Deniz The tale says the rivers meet before they reach the sea, and the couple already has a son whose name means sea. Deniz sat on that boat and gave the story its final line, so Deniz who names his parents as a myth carries the water's destination in his own name. In this hydrology, whatever flows from Alya and Cihan runs toward Deniz. A baby named for the Tigris would flow into the same sea. A river and a sea belong to one water system, and no part of it outranks another. The river runs because the sea draws it on, and the sea is full because rivers arrive. A child named Dicle would join Deniz inside a picture that the boy himself called "just like my mom and dad," where each of them already has a place. Deniz keeps his seat as the sea both currents run toward, and the arithmetic that sent Alya away (Serhat existence) loses its premise. A name that puts down roots Names have been a battleground in this house. The Alboras call Deniz "Cihan," a gesture that folds a boy into a lineage with one word. In the first episode Alya answered, "You can call him Cihan as much as you want, his name is Deniz." She was claiming authorship over the one thing a mother always gets to give, and she has defended it ever since. In ep69 she returned to the same ground from a new side. "My son is an Albora too," she told Cihan, using the family's name on her own terms. A child named for the Tigris would carry a name chosen from outside that lineage logic. Dicle belongs to the land itself, to the river of the region where the family lives and where Alya has been trying, season after season, to stay. For a woman whose core wound is uprooting, a name taken from the water of this place is a way of rooting someone in it. She would be giving the land a child and giving the child a land, in a single word. What the tale asks of them The captain's story promises a reunion and says nothing about how soon. It places the work with the rivers, which search and keep searching. The convergence the tale describes is earned, and the earning takes the form of actions each of them can take. Alya's action is a guarantee. Her history is a chain of leavings decided alone, on partial information, and announced late: the finale, the pregnancy still unspoken. Her move is to say it, and to say first that she is staying, so the child arrives inside a choice she has already made. "Alone" then becomes a sentence with a second person in it. Cihan's action is a demolition. The obligations that pin him are inherited and enforced, and they come with a vocabulary of honor in which his own wish has no voice. His move is to tell Alya, in his own voice and with no crisis to carry it, that his one reality is her, and that no wedding, name or house outranks it. The mutual step the fandom has been waiting for is these two actions meeting. Each river has to leave its own bed at the same moment, and neither can wait for the other to go first. No matter what we think about who needs to do the first step. The tale's confidence rests on the search being shared, so that every question Cihan asks and every answer Alya finally gives (and vice versa) carries them both a little nearer to the place where the water joins. When the rivers meet, the captain says, life becomes beautiful. In this story that life already has a boy named for the sea, and it may soon have a child named for the river beside him. ...with their parents hand in hand. _____ #UzakŞehir #CihAl #SinemÜnsal #OzanAkbaba

Cihan and Deniz in ep70: three scenes, one child carrying both adults. Scene 1: in the room Cihan is out of words, his posture tells everything. The guilt is eating his inner world and feels the shame because he can't say "I'm getting married" to a child who already doubts his place. Deniz picks up the work Cihan has put down. He asks "what happened", he waits, and when the silence runs long he says the news himself: "You're getting married too, aren't you?" Again Deniz is playing a role of a parent: child performing the emotional labor of a conversation and supplying the sentence an adult can't say. It comes from long practice. Deniz has grown up among people who curate their words, and he reads faces the way other children read picture books. He keeps Alya's face from the day she told him about her marriage, holds it against his father's, and reports the match: "just like yours." The match tells him what the adults will not. "You're doing it to hurt my mom" is Deniz's working theory of adult marriage, a move in a conflict between two people he loves. It lands because it holds a grain of truth. Pain does pass between Cihan and Alya through these arrangements, and the real reasons, obligation and family pressure, aren't something that Deniz understands yet. Cihan takes the sentence in silence which feels like he's confirming Deniz's words. It felt like Deniz wanted to tell Cihan about the fake marriage so this is why I believe Deniz is still here hoping for Cihan to give up of that marriage thing. Telling someone a secret is an attachment move. A child confides in the person he still expects to help, hold, or fix the situation. When a child has finished with someone, he usually goes quiet and becomes self-sufficient, and he stops offering information. Deniz does the opposite. But Deniz reads faces well. In the same scene Cihan has just failed to finish his own sentence, has been caught using the boy to ask about Alya, and has gone silent when accused. The boy can see that his father is at the limit of what he can hold so this is why he asks whether his mom is coming today, which changes the subject and keeps the secret. That change of the subject is to protect his father from one more weight. Scene 2: breakfast Deniz's question comes straight out of what he sees: "Did you get married?" He asks it the way he asked in the room, directly, because directness has worked for him so far. Cihan can't look at him and say "I'm marrying someone else." Lowering the eyes is a common shame response, and the plate gives his gaze somewhere to go. "It's like halfway to marriage, that's all." This is minimization, a defense that shrinks a painful event by treating it as a quantity. "That's all" shuts the topic before the child can ask a second question. I see this as Cihan is calming himself as much as the boy. Cihan is changing subject soon as he notices that Deniz is affected and not eating food as he always does. Deniz felt like his father was not belonging to him and his mother anymore. The boy who usually eats without any problems, sits with his hand near the cutlery and the plate hardly changing, his eyes lowered. The body says what the mouth withholds, and the mouth is busy guarding a secret. If marriage has halves, one half of his father has already left, and the other half is on its way. This is what leads to Deniz's words in front of the school. Scene 3: in front of the school The child who expects to be left authors the departure himself, and he authors it in his mother's grammar. "Mom said she'd leave anyway" shows where the plan came from. Leaving first so nobody has to choose is Alya's known strategy, and it has reached Deniz as a contingency he can recite. Notice too that he borrows his father's own frame. Cihan said "halfway," and Deniz says "when you get married," treating the other half as a date already on the calendar. This was the first time Deniz is the one saying they will go as he started believing that Cihan's priorities are changing now. ------ Read the three scenes as one line of reasoning, because Deniz builds it the way a careful child does. In the room he proposes a hypothesis: "You're doing it to hurt my mom." Cihan has no answer, and to a child a man's silence after an accusation reads as assent. At the table the hypothesis meets its evidence. The ring is an object, and children trust objects over explanations. "Halfway to marriage" is a sentence, the band on the finger is a fact, and the fact outweighs the sentence. In front of the school the conclusion arrives with the calm of a finished proof: if you marry, we leave. Every step follows from something Cihan did or could not say. Listen to the pronouns. In the room, the story was about "my mom" and "you." In front of the school the sentence is built as a conditional, "When you get married, we won't stay at the mansion anymore," and the grammar assigns the roles. Cihan owns the first clause. The boy and his mother own the second. The marriage is the cause and the departure is the consequence, set side by side in one breath so that Cihan hears his own act and its price in a single sentence. "We" means Deniz and Alya, and Cihan stands outside that word for the first time. The father who has carried the insecurity of not being the biological parent hears his son draw the household's boundary and leave him on the far side of it. This is the point where Cihan seems to grasp, in his body, what the deal with Mirza will cost. Until they reached the school, the price lived in the abstract. He agreed the way a man of the tribe agrees, in the language of duty, and he counted the cost in what he himself would endure, a marriage he can't stand behind and a distance from Alya he already knew. A sacrifice priced in one's own pain feels survivable, because pain of that kind is something he has been trained to carry. He believed he was spending his own happiness, and a small voice now reads out a bill that also includes the daily presence of a boy he loves. Cihan keeps meeting the point where a bond he built is taken apart by choices that other people's needs make for him. His love for Deniz is beyond question. Deniz is also the one door left open to Alya, or so Cihan believes. There is a name for a person who stands in for an absent loved one, a linking object (yes, I reserached it), and in these episodes Deniz has quietly served that function without anyone saying so. The boy is a son, and he is the living connection to the woman Cihan can't approach. When Deniz announces that mother and child will go, both attachments fall at once, and Cihan has no way to grieve one without exposing the other. That doubleness explains the totality of his silence. Speaking from the first fear would sound like a father pleading for his son. Speaking from the second would sound like a man bargaining with a child for access to the child's mother. Cihan has already caught himself using Deniz as a messenger in the room. His stillness in front of the school can be read as restraint, a man refusing to turn the boy into a rope in a tug of war. Deniz looks up at him through the whole speech and waits for an answer. No answer comes. Cihan's hands drop, his gaze falls to the ground, and the camera holds on a face that has gone still. He lacked words for the marriage in the room, he covered the lack with a plate at the table, and he lacks words for the departure here, so the boy receives silence three times in different costumes. The head of an Albora household decides and the others move around the decision. The youngest member has just withdrawn his consent in one sentence and the cost of the engagement is stated aloud with no room for a justification.

Kader karşısına o reklam sütununu çıkarana dek: “Rise from your ashes...”

Agreed. Sadakat likely says something to break Deniz's heart at that stupid dinner. Cihan strikes back at her and thats why she ups and faints. As it is Cihan looks at Sadakat like he hates her in the last episode because her custody shenanigans are what finally push Alya to take the (fake) marriage step. And after Sadakat learns the secret, Cihan's growing anger at her is a great danger of him drifting away permanently. #CihAl #UzakŞehir
Remember when Deniz’s innocent little attempt to make his parents reconcile was too much? Well, look where we are now. You deserve every bit of what’s coming your way, Sado.

Sooooo, I had a looong chat with gpt about subchronic hematomas and discovered that SCH itself might not develop due to stress, but it can definitely be exacerbated by it. Meaning Alya's pregnancy was somewhat delicate to begin with. But then consequent events lead to her developing pains, which actually helps in discovering the pregnancy. Alya's first episode of cramps happens right after she's forced to go speak to Ecmel after coming back to Mardin. The next episode is when she's in jail. After that, when she rescues Nare after Kaya slaps her. And finally, after Cihan's engagement followed by hearing Ecmel's plans for Deniz's custody. Everytime she's cornered or sees or hears something traumatic, the pains start. And people attacked me when I said Cihan and the other sorry lot of Alboras (not you Nare, my love) owe this girl a major apology. Like I said, this fandom is littered with mini Sadakats. #CihAl #UzakŞehir

"Cihan Deniz’s efforts to keep his mother and father together bring suppressed emotions back to the surface. As Alya’s hope of starting a new life with her son grows stronger, Cihan’s desire to protect her clashes with his fear of losing her. A door that could lead to freedom will bring them both to the threshold of a far more difficult test." So, Deniz is why Alya is at the konak during the dinner. Something probably happens to hurt the little boy's feelings, and both Cihan and Alya see what theyre making him go through. Seeing Alya's outfit, I think she tries going to Cihan's office to try telling him again, only to see Barfing there. So, yeah, the door to freedom? CihAl are making up soon because that's the only way they get to face that bigger trial. The banks of Dicle, here we come....
