⚠️ @escrow_com ruined my 6 figures acquisition💀 It could happen to you too if you use them 🚨 Last month, I listed my startup for sale, and after negotiating with buyers, I agreed to a 6-figures amount with one of them 💸 Everything was ready. Yesterday, the buyer sent the money to Escrow (middleman), but today... 💀💀 ...Escrow tell me they don’t want to send the money to my bank account 🤬 Apparently, they don’t want to send wires to Mercury/Wise since 2 weeks ago, even tho their website clearly says they accept Wise, so they are lying (screenshot) 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️ If they mentioned it upfront, we would have done the wire without them, but they waited until the last minute right before they received the money to say it, and now it's locked there 💀 Opening a bank account in Singapore is super hard and usually takes months, so it's out of the equation for now I invested so much time into this, everything was ready, but now I’m learning that everything I worked for might be gone. At best the buyer is ok to restart everything and delay 2-3 more weeks At worst, the deal is gone, because of Escrow I honestly don't know what to do 😕 Big corpos don't give a shit, especially when they have a monopoly, but making sure this post reach as many people as possible is probably a good start.
