Weāve identified an issue causing game crashes on PH lifestyle .
The fix is rolling out and should be live in just a few minutes.
See you back in the game soon!
Daniel Dx retweeted
okay this escalated fast.
PH Lifestyle just crossed 100 people online at the same time.
earlier today I was excited about 54
now weāre at 102 online and Iām still pushing fixes while people are literally inside the game š
this started as āPort Harcourt deserves its own little internet world too.ā
now Iām stress testing multiplayer with 100+ people in it.
not bad at all
next job: make sure I donāt break the whole city

Lagos cannot have all the fun
I saw @eureka_seamless build a danfo game, then @Shalom_HeyEliy made Lagos Life Sims.
I live in Port Harcourt. We couldnāt just be watching.
So I built PH Lifestyle š“
A multiplayer browser game where you hustle, roast bole, catch buses, gist with other players and spray your in-game money at the owambe.
Come for the bole. Stay for the gist.
Free to play in your browser. You can jump in as a guest.

PH people, come and tell me whatās missing š
I built a game where you drive a danfo through Lagos š
Load passengers, dodge okadas, beat the traffic. Plays in your browser, no download.

ā¦9m in the bank. A house in GRA. and i still never chop š
Been building a little Port Harcourt you can live in.
PH Lifestyle is almost ready.
I grew up playing The Sims 3 and always wondered what it would be like if the Sims lived in a world inspired by ours.š¤·š½āāļø
Then I saw @eureka_seamless riding a danfo through Lagos, and it sparked an idea: Lagos Life Sims.
Take a look around. Who knows, you might make a new friend in the Sims world.

I spent 27 days learning how to build SketchMason.
now iām realizing i might spend longer learning how to get people to care about it.
coding gives you immediate feedback
something breaks - fix it
UI looks bad - improve it
model output sucks - change something.
distribution is completely different.
you can build something good, post about it, and hear absolutely nothing.
so iām starting to treat distribution the same way i treat engineering:
test things.
measure what works.
stop getting emotionally attached to bad ideas.
repeat.
right now that means replying to more people, making videos, sharing what iām learning and actually talking to users instead of sitting behind my laptop polishing features.
i used to think building the product was the job
now i think building attention around the product is part of the product.
letās see what happens after 30 days of treating it that way

2 days ago i said i was done waiting for people to notice me and decided to start making videos.
Day 1: 540 views
Day 2: 1,329 views
obviously these arenāt crazy numbers, but thatās not really the point.
i almost didnāt start because i kept thinking about the perfect camera, better lighting, better scripts, whether anyone would even care.
turns out the second video already reached more people than the first.
and iām starting this TikTok from basically zero.
this is exactly why ājust startā finally makes sense to me.
you donāt need the blueprint before you begin.
- you post
- you see what people respond to
- you improve
- you post again
Ps: the instagram was an old account
28 more days.
now iām curious what happens if i actually stay consistent
I think iāve been using āi need distributionā as an excuse for too long.
AI UGC tools are expensive. paying creators every time i want content isnāt sustainable either.
then i realized something obvious:
Marc Lou and most of the SaaS founders i look up to didnāt wait for someone else to give them an audience.
they built one.
iāve been watching a lot of tech creators on TikTok lately and, without trying to sound cocky, some of them arenāt necessarily better technically than me.
theyāre just way better at distribution.
and that difference is making them more money.
iāve grown a TikTok account to 10k before, although it was completely unrelated content. so no, i donāt have some perfect blueprint for tech content.
but i know i can learn
so iām done waiting for X alone to somehow figure everything out for me
for the next 30 days iām going to actually put myself out there:
TikTok
Instagram
YouTube
X
videos, product builds, things iām learning, mistakes, whatever actually feels useful.
maybe one platform works. maybe none of them work immediately
but i refuse to believe 30 days of actually publishing teaches me less than another 30 days of thinking about publishing.
bought some lighting to make the content good. nothing crazy, but enough to start, waiting for the perfect setup is probably just another excuse anyway.
skill without distribution is almost invisible anyway
time to learn the other half.
follow along.

hot take: Jevās biggest risk isnāt OpenAI copying it.
itās Jev becoming a category instead of a moat.
Jev launched less than a week ago and adoption is already insane.
but look at what happened almost immediately:
CUA trained a tiny specialist model for form filling and reported 99.7% on their eval.
Jev got 83.6%
open-source Jev like implementations are already appearing too and that makes me think the actual future isnāt:
one Jev to rule every decision.
itās probably:
general decision model for zero shot tasks
ā
collect enough domain data
ā
train a tiny specialist
ā
cheaper, faster, better at that specific job
which creates a weird question for TypeSafe:
if every successful Jev use case eventually produces the training data for its own replacement⦠what exactly is the moat?
maybe the answer isnāt the model.
maybe itās the API, calibration, tooling, distribution and becoming the default interface for machine decisions.
Jev might not disappear.
but āJev-likeā could become much bigger than Jev itself.
curious what everyone thinks.

funny thing is, you were one of the first people i followed when i made this account after my old one got suspended at 650+ followers.
i tag people because i genuinely respect their work and sometimes i want them to see what iām building too.
iāll admit it, iāve overdone it with people like Marc before. that part of the criticism is fair. nobody wants to be tagged in every post.
but thereās another side to this that i think gets ignored.
people always say ājust ship good stuff and youāll get noticed.ā
i donāt really believe that anymore.
there are thousands of people building genuinely good products and posting useful things every day that almost nobody sees
iāve experienced it myself. i posted for months before one post finally took off. bigger creators noticed me for a moment, then a week later youāre basically invisible again even when you double down on the same quality.
so the question iām genuinely trying to figure out is:
how does a small creator get into those circles without already having the audience, money or connections?
sometimes you ship sometimes you reply. sometimes you tag someone whose work inspired yours and hope they notice.
my original post was literally inspired by people iāve watched for months. Theo, Marc Lou, Greg Isenberg and others. iād love to build an audience and businesses at that level someday.
so ādonāt randomly tag meā is a fair message.
but āit makes us root for your failureā?
damn.
i canāt imagine getting to a position where smaller builders look up to me and my reaction to them trying to get noticed is hoping they fail.
maybe iāll understand the annoyance better when i get there
but i hope i never lose the part of me that remembers what it felt like to be the small account trying to get somebody to notice.
anyways back to building.

Iām 21.
solo founder from Nigeria š³š¬
currently building SketchMason, a tool that turns rough UI sketches into finished interfaces.
no team. no funding. just shipping and figuring out distribution as I go.
looking to connect with more founders, designers, marketers & indie hackers.
what are you building?
Daniel Dx retweeted
your X account has a Google Search Console now
thatās kinda wild, you can now see
what people searched before finding your posts
which posts showed up on Google
- impressions
- clicks
- CTR
- average position
basically, X content is no longer just post it and hope the algorithm likes it.
now you can see which ideas keep getting discovered after the timeline is done with them this changes how i think about posting
if a SketchMason post keeps showing up for searches around AI UI, sketch to code, wireframes, etc, thatās not just a good tweet anymore
thatās demand data.
and i can turn that into landing pages, docs, blog posts, more content, whatever, mine is at 0 clicks right now because i only just connected it
but this might quietly become one of the most useful creator analytics tools Google has shipped.

one user asked me to add Google sign in.
that one DM ended up exposing 2 other things i shipped badly
the verification email was taking too long, and some Resend emails were landing in spam.
worse, SketchMason didnāt even tell users to check spam.
so i added Google sign in
then while testing the auth flow, i opened settings and realized iād also shipped the old placeholder settings page
what was supposed to be one small fix turned into:
- Google sign in
- better verification messaging
- rebuilt account settings
- plans and billing
- credit top ups
- billing history
- profile controls
all because one person said the code was taking too long, this is probably the biggest thing iām learning from having real users
they donāt always give you a roadmap
sometimes they just point at one annoying thing and you find 5 more things you shouldāve fixed already
shipped the fixes today

3 users in 3 days.
one new user a day
is that growth? probably too early to call it that, but it is signal.
funny part is iām still one of the heaviest users of my own product. anthropic just warned me about my credit usage because i keep generating UIs and comparing them against stuff on @awwwards
iām trying to solve the boring details AI usually guesses the spacing, widths, grid gaps, nav rhythm. the things nobody mentions in the prompt but everyone notices when theyāre wrong
- every user teaches me something
- every generation costs me something
- every day the product gets a little less sloppy.
marketing gets people through the door. product quality decides whether they stay
marc lou did over $100k in a couple days.
iām at 3 users in 3 days, different stage of the graph
still moving right

university gave me the public but it never gave me the skill.
that's the line i keep coming back to from a podcast i did this week with @AnticsDecoded
we started from $5 bounties in a school hostel. now i'm building sketchmason solo, the dfference wasn't talent. it was showing up for 7 days straight when nothing was working, then doing it again.
