🚨Important update on @Ledger supply chain attack 🧵Everything covered in this thread ⚠️Long thread, but must read if u own a Ledger 🤔What happened? 🥷Hackers allegedly tampered with Ledger hardware wallets sold through CryptoBilis, an official reseller operating in Southeast Asia 💰Stolen - $86M 📅Reported in 9 Oct 🤔Did these devices pass Ledger genuineness check? ✅Yes 🤔How did this tampered device work? 📡A hidden circuit board with a microcontroller, cellular modem, antenna & eSIM was implanted inside these device 👀It captured the 24 word by monitoring data sent to the screen 📳eSIM then transmitted the stolen data remotely to attackers 🤔Is every official reseller impacted? ✅As of now CryptoBilis is confirmed 🆕New reports coming out about another reseller from Europe, MediaMarkt, nothing official yet 🤔What should I do if I purchased from Ledger official reseller ✅Ledger is promoting all these official resellers as authorised sellers ⚠️But reports say something different ⚠️So, it is better to check open ur device 🤔How to open? ▶️Check my quote post for opening ur Ledger Nano X ⚠️Keep seed backup before u open 🤔What to check after opening? 🖼️I attached 4 images in this post 🥷All 4 r different types of compromised devices 1️⃣Img 1 - u see extra Antenna & eSIM module 2️⃣Img 2 - U see extra wires connecting 3️⃣Img 3 - Additional yellow tape on circuit board 4️⃣Img 4 - Ugly Additional Soldering ⚠️If u find any of the 4 in ur device, most probably ur device is compromised 🤔What to do if I find implant? ✅First check ur funds ✅If fund safe, Temporarily migrate ur fund to safe wallet or top tier CEX ✅Report the issue to Ledger ✅Make post in X with purchase reseller details, so it helps Ledger & investigate 🤔I am using old Ledger, should I open? ✅As per reports these devices were within recent purchases, under 2 years ✅If u purchase was older than 2 years, u r probably safe ⚠️I repeat "Probably" ⚠️So better open & check 🤔I purchased from Ledger official website, should I open? ✅As of now no reports from devices on ledger website, probably safe ⚠️But, better open & check 🤔I purchased from etherbit, Flipkar & Amazon official Ledger reseller Stores, should I check? ❌As of now no reports from Indian users ✅But it is always good to verify before it's too late ✅I recommend u open & check 🤔Is there any better alternative Hardware wallet? ☠️At this point I have no trust on anything in crypto 😂We have seen 100 new ways of exploits & hacked happen this year 2026 ☠️Most of my funds r in Ledger 😂Just praying all those devices r safe & no new exploit in them ⚙️I will try to open my devices this weekend, but I have ledger stax & flex which r complex to open ⚠️I repeat, open only if u have proper seed backup ⚠️Watch video & do carefully, don't damage ur Ledger 📝Read this & share with all ur crypto friends 💙Like 🔁RT
