Nah, it started turning when he accused that diver of being a pedo. Showed how much of a scumbag weirdo he is.
Because he got involved in politics.
When Musk launched a car into space, that was cool. I made that image the banner pic on my Facebook page! If he'd stuck to EVs, rockets, and satellite internet, he'd be far more popular.
But he decided to back Trump to the max.
(That he lies a lot on Twitter to push his agendas doesn't help either.)

Electric cars produce more brake dust, and it’s more dangerous than diesel exhaust.
Thats the claim doing the rounds, because a University of Southampton study proved brake dust is more dangerous than diesel exhaust, supposedly making electric vehicles worse for our health.
But that’s not what the study found.
Researchers discovered that certain types of brake dust particles caused more damage to lung cells in laboratory tests than the diesel exhaust particles they tested.
That’s an important finding, but there’s a rather obvious problem with using it to attack electric vehicles.
EVs produce LESS brake dust.
They use regenerative braking, allowing the electric motor to slow the vehicle while recovering energy.
This significantly reduces reliance on conventional friction brakes, meaning less brake wear and fewer brake dust emissions.
The study didn’t compare the overall pollution produced by electric and diesel vehicles.
It didn’t conclude that EVs were more harmful to human health.
And it certainly didn’t establish that brake dust pollution makes EVs worse than diesels.
Let’s also remember that diesel vehicles produce exhaust emissions, including nitrogen oxides and particulate matter, which electric vehicles don’t produce at the tailpipe.
EVs aren’t pollution-free. They still produce tyre and road wear particles, and some brake dust.
But taking a study about the toxicity of certain brake particles and presenting it as evidence against EVs is completely misleading.
The irony is that regenerative braking is already helping tackle the very problem the researchers highlighted.
.
Replying to @JordanEVGuy
I hope not.
The recent study by Dr Hames Parkin of the University of Southampton shows that brake dust pollution is now more dangerous that diesel particulates. EVs emit more brake dust because of their weight.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The study by Dr James Parkin (not Hames), University of Southampton, found copper-rich brake PM more toxic to lung cells than diesel PM in lab tests. EVs emit far less brake dust due to regenerative braking.

This is an interesting discussion on camera and lidar as sensors for autonomy, but what's striking to me is that engineers like @Bastien_Theron and @bucksaucee are trying to have a real discussion around the usefulness of lidar in a sensor suite, while @wholemars and @yunta_tsai are just looking to justify a decision made by @elonmusk a long time ago that has since painted Tesla into a corner regarding lidar.
It's not a real conversation. I'm sure, in fact, I know that some engineers at Tesla would like to be able to use lidar in their sensor suite, but they can't even consider it.

Mir fällt kein erniedrigenderes Szenario für Merz ein.
