The Cyberpunk future you were promised doesn't look like my work, but like Paris right now. If you CT scan my work you'll see I've been documenting this fatigue for years. Everything is up except life quality. Govs all over the world have failed their citizens. It will get worse.

AI generated reels being so popular somehow tells me humans stopped caring as much about details. Nowadays everything is flashy enough to hook you, with fast paced cuts that leave no time to spot hallucinations or flaws. Perfect for a cheap dopamine economy but rarely remarkable.

BSOD in Marfa gathered interest, for which I'm very grateful! I'm now finalizing a couple of commissions before 2026 ends and I look forward to start 2027 with a slightly gamified artistic project that will reward, refine and ultimately expand The Network. See you in Marfa.

I don't understand how people start using emojis or nicknames with LLMs, to the point the AI does it back. Then I think about what it's optimized for: agreement. It assimilates our own tone and uses it with us, so we feel understood and keep going back to it. Dystopian nightmare.

I love when people hunt for funny details and Easter eggs in my art. Because a second look is the hardest thing to obtain in the dopamine economy and it's my way to communicate to the viewer while sifting between those who understand the work and those who dismiss it as AI slop.

I know a collector sees a different kind of value in my art when they question the work, their own understanding, when they wonder what direction we are going, if they sit with the discomfort... And so on. In that case I know I made my whole point and not just a "pretty picture".

How ironic that most of the replies under my art and my reflections come from AI bots. I spend my time warning about an Internet full of meaningless things and they show up to confirm it, commenting with sensical inputs on the surface, but without a true sense of understanding.

Granted that my art exists regardless, I'm at the point where having institutions and museums' attention matters. They decide what gets archived and explained and having them and my collectors share the fear my work points at decides if it'll get fully understood or just admired.

I too am subject to algo dynamics when I make art. I know my choices would change if there were no pressure to optimize. That's why I feel much of what's being made nowadays feels plasticky, with nothing waiting to be said, and would vanish the day the algo stopped rewarding it.

Blue Screen of Death by @dangiuz was made to exist in two states. In Marfa, the digital work will be paired with a 30 × 40-inch acrylic UV print inside an LED light-boxed float frame. Part of Before It’s Gone, the new 8NAP Masters Series curated by @SteveMiller

Science can tell us about what prolonged iPad exposure does to kids, but it can't tell us what it does to a 70-year-old who started at 4, simply because that person doesn't exist yet. My work portrays a blind spot where the results arrive after we are gone. Our gen is the study.

In my work, every human can be usefully surveilled, because every human wants something, fears something, owes something. The cat wants nothing from anyone. Surveilling it is just... Watching it. That's the actual reason it slips past the logic the rest of us are trapped inside.

Pretty sure blockchain solves this Pope Leo! Well at least we can confirm that a piece of art was created before the rise of the machines.
In this era of artificial intelligence, it is becoming urgent to distinguish human art from what machines produce. There is an ontological difference, even before an aesthetic one, between art and what a machine can generate through statistical calculation based on millions of images created by others. Algorithms lack the spark of humanity. For this reason, the Church wishes to renew an alliance with artists and cultural institutions to safeguard our humanity.

What makes my work unappealing for most is the attention it needs in a world where very few have it. My work will never read as innovative or shiny. I'm building something that walks in the opposite direction because the current one will wipe us out. Keep your 15 minutes of fame.

The longer I do this the more I realize my viewers split in two. The first group sees neon and teals. The second sees themselves, realizing it's not the future but a darker version of last week. The goal is to have the second group outnumber the first to fight the meaning crisis.

A lot of people who ideologically align with my work are skeptical of crypto. Fair, given who some of the biggest personalities are. But my work is tied to Ethereum because both are uncompromisable for censorship resistance, freedom to transact and tech to improve human agency.

No doubt AI is the single most powerful tool humans have ever made and it'll only get better here on out. But its evolution comes with the inability to consistently reproduce a certain output. That's a limit only humans can get past. Artists retaining full control will stand out.

I'm well aware my art requires an above average amount of time and effort to be fully digested. We are falling apart and the algo deprioritizes socially conscious content because it's more convenient to keep people dull. Might not be for you if you just want to scroll and relax.

I'm proud to present my latest piece, "Blue Screen of Death", soon to be exhibited in Marfa for the '26 Art Blocks weekend. An immense pleasure to be invited in what I consider to be the most unique event of our space to showcase my art and spread the Romantic Cyberpunk doctrine.
