Bill (seated, centre) turned 90 yesterday, and has decided to hand in his horn at Thompson's Foundry Band (the local brass band I conduct). Thanks for setting the new, official band retirement age Bill, now 90 + 1 day.

People with #FASD have a life long disability. Just a week ago we received the outcome of the Senate Inquiry into FASD, showing the need for MORE support. Research shows and I see the poor outcomes for people who are not supported. I despair. smh.com.au/politics/federal/…

What are some of the pleasures and pitfalls when it comes to editing a multi-author volume? Thanks, @molliedollin @tseenster @danbendrups & Sue Grieshaber for sharing your stories! redalert.blogs.latrobe.edu.a… #LTUAcWriMo #acwri #academictwitter
Excellent Speech. I grew up in the back streets of Rezza. I remember the introduction of HECS and my dad telling me I'd be 'bloody stupid' to go to uni and get myself into debt. There's no-one to bail you out when you are poor. Many of my friends had to 'dream a little cheaper'.

So, some of you may know I'm also a gigging musician. Used my @latrobe wellness day free time to lay down some horn lines for this global ISO project by the NPCs, for all the ska punks skaters and gamers out there #LTUWFH @LTUresearchers @theresignators youtube.com/watch?v=z6FLq7wz…

To my work colleagues who stridently questioned the university's extra provision of carers leave in response to COVID, here's how I spent mine this morning: 1. Helping a young child with a specific learning challenge undertake a difficult writing task, 2. Hugging crying child...

3. Steering said child towards a workable solution, 4. overseeing submission of task. Now I'm catching up on my own work tasks. No-one had to cover my load, but I now carry the load of knowing that many people I work with can't see why this help is so needed. Solidarity matters.
