The Hind Rajab Foundation (HRF) has urged U.S. authorities to investigate and arrest Israeli military commander Sean Glass, who is visiting the United States, over his role in the killing of five-year-old Palestinian girl Hind Rajab, her family members, and the two paramedics who attempted to rescue them in Gaza in January 2024.
HRF says Glass commanded the military company whose troops were operating near Hind’s vehicle and has filed an urgent request with the U.S. Department of Justice seeking his prosecution for war crimes and genocide.

📌 Skandalın merkezinde İsrailli reklam teknolojisi şirketi Discover-Tech var. Al Jazeera gazetesi, editörlerin trafiğinde tuhaflık fark edip Toronto Üni-Citizen Lab'a başvuruyor. Onlar da işin peşine düşüp casus yazılım olayını ortaya çıkarıyor.
📌 Normal koşullarda bir kullanıcı bir internet sitesini ziyaret ettiğinde, karşısına çıkacak reklam, arka planda bir saniyeden çok daha kısa sürede gerçekleştirilen otomatik açık artırmayla belirlenir.
Bu süreçte reklam şirketleri, kullanıcının cihazı, IP adresi, ilgi alanları ve internet üzerindeki davranışlarına ilişkin çeşitli bilgilere erişebilir.

📌 Şirketin hazırladığı reklamlar, örneğin bir dijital oyun veya telekomünikasyon hizmetinin sıradan tanıtımı gibi görünebiliyor. Ancak reklam gösterildiğinde kullanıcının IP adresi ve cihazına ilişkin bilgiler arka planda toplanıyor. Bu bilgiler, kullanıcıların kimliklerinin belirlenmesi ve hedeflerin seçilmesi için kullanılıyor.
Ardından casus yazılım şirketleri, belirlenen hedeflerin cihazlarına kötü amaçlı kod gönderiyor.
📌 Citizen Lab, bunun hedefli internet reklamlarının sıfır tıklama yöntemiyle casus yazılım dağıtmak amacıyla kullanıldığına ilişkin ilk somut kanıt olduğunu belirtiyor.
Saldırı zincirinin en dikkat çekici özelliği, kullanıcının reklama tıklamasına gerek olmaması.
📌 Araştırmada adı geçen Candiru casus yazılımı, hedef alınan cihazlardan çok çeşitli hassas bilgileri elde edebilecek yeteneklere sahip. Bunlar arasında e-postalar, mesajlar, fotoğraflar, belgeler, tarayıcı çerezleri ve kayıtlı giriş bilgileri var.
Yazılım ayrıca tuş vuruşlarını kaydedebiliyor, ekran görüntüleri alabiliyor, telefon görüşmelerini kaydedebiliyor ve mikrofon ile kamerayı gizlice etkinleştirebiliyor.
📌 Saldırgan komut dosyası etiketleri içeren reklamlar, somut derece hassas kurumların ağlarında görüntülenmiş. ABD Savunma Bakanlığı (Pentagon), Birleşmiş Milletler, NATO, Uluslararası Ceza Mahkemesi ve Uluslararası Atom Enerjisi Ajansı ile bağlantılı sistemler de var bunların arasında.
📌 Peki bu reklamlar hangi uygulama ve sitelerde görülmüş? Liste çok uzun. 75 bin 373 farklı Android ve iOS uygulamasının kullanıcılarına; mobil ile masaüstü tarayıcılarda ise 120 bin 768 farklı web sitesinin ziyaretçilerine gösterilmiş.
Aralarında Yahoo, Opera Mini, Duolingo, Grindr, Weather-com, AccuWeather, fox, bbc, new york times siteleri vs var.
📌 Durum ortaya çıkınca Google şirketin reklam borsalarına erişimini sonlandırmış.

From @mehdirhasan to @jonfavs and now @NickKristof, the signs are everywhere of the Left conditioning the environment to steamroll Democrats who describe themselves as “anti-Netanyahu but pro-Israel.” Being against THIS Israeli government will not be sufficient. 💢 The GMC’s decision to drag Dr Ghassan Abu-Sitta to the High Court is a glaring indicator that the regulator is either pursuing a political agenda or capitulating to extreme external pressure.
Here is why this case should alarm every healthcare professional:
* Perverting the purpose of Section 40A: Under the Medical Act 1983, Section 40A appeals are intended to challenge "unduly lenient" penalties when patient safety is at risk. Using this statutory power to challenge the complete exoneration of a doctor by an independent panel is an extraordinary escalation.
* Zero patient safety concerns: Dr Abu-Sitta faced no clinical complaints or patient harm allegations. His colleagues (including a British-Israeli doctor) testified to his exemplary, unbiased care. There is no public safety issue to "protect."
* Subverting its own judicial arm: The MPTS tribunal evaluated every post, heard the evidence, and dismissed all charges. When a regulator refuses to accept the verdict of its own independent judicial body simply because it didn't get a guilty outcome, it is no longer acting as an impartial watchdog.
* Bowing to political lobbying: The case was instigated by external political advocacy groups. By refusing to let a cleared case rest and escalating it to the High Court, the GMC signals that external political pressure can dictate how far it will persecute a registrant.
When the GMC burns through registrant fees to pursue a surgeon through the courts after its own tribunal found him innocent, it is not protecting the public or upholding professional standards. It is either executing a targeted agenda or demonstrating dangerous institutional cowardice in the face of external lobbying.
