Good morning, X! You do not need everybody to believe in your vision. You need the courage to pursue it, the discipline to keep building, and the patience to let the results speak. Move with purpose today. Your future is watching. Have a productive Tuesday. 💯

In less than five years, one king has rekindled the pride of his people, brought out the very best in them, and reminded the world what it truly means to be Warri people. They have showcased the breathtaking beauty of their culture, the splendour of their traditions, and the depth of their spirituality in a way that is impossible to ignore. The love, joy, passion, and devotion they display for their king and the unmistakable Warri identity are absolutely intoxicating! Honestly, it makes me a little jealous. But they are our brothers and aisters, and I couldn't be prouder of this young king and his people. What a beautiful thing to witness a king inspire such unity, cultural pride, and collective joy among his people. Congratulations to His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III! 👑 Long live the Olu of Warri! Long live the Itsekiri people! May your kingdom continue to flourish in cultural splendour, spiritual depth, unity, and prosperity. 🇳🇬🪇🇳🇬🪇🇳🇬🪇🇳🇬

1/21 WHY EVERY ITSEKIRI MUST REMEMBER PA ALFRED REWANE He was more than a businessman and a hero of Nigeria's democracy struggle. He was an Itsekiri patriot, a Yoruba nationalist, and his life reminds us of the bonds between the Itsekiri and Yoruba. 🧵

This is how some people try to rewrite history and paint Yoruba as the villains in the Niger Delta. The Oodua People’s Congress (OPC) was founded on August 29, 1994 — years before the major Ijaw conflicts with Ilaje and Itsekiri. It started as a socio-cultural and political movement in response to the annulment of the June 12, 1993 election, not as a militia. Between 1998 and 1999, Ijaw militants killed hundreds of Ilaje people in Ondo State over oil-rich land. From 1997 to the early 2000s, the Ijaw–Itsekiri war in Warri saw massive violence, with some estimates putting Itsekiri deaths in the hundreds to over 2000, plus hundreds of thousands displaced. OPC only got involved later when the killings of their people kept rising. They did not invade anyone’s land — they moved to defend Ilaje and itsekiri communities who were being attacked. Now let’s talk about what Biafran forces did to non-Igbo speaking people in the Niger Delta and Midwest during the civil war: - Boji-Boji Agbor mass killing (September 20, 1967) - The Ossiomo River killings in Abudu (commonly referred to as the Abudu 300), where non-Igbo civilians were slaughtered as Biafran troops retreated - Uromi-Agbor Road massacres (around September 23, 1967) - The Kwale oil workers incident (May 1969), where Biafran forces raided an AGIP oil field and killed 11 Italian and other foreign workers while capturing 18 others So who has historically been the bigger threat to the people in the Niger Delta? Those who formed an organisation to protect their own communities when they were being slaughtered, or those who entered the region during the civil war invaded and seized territories and killed non-Igbo speakers while also targeting oil installations?
Timaya's first Album was all about the atrocities of SW in Nigeria Delta Yorugbas formed OPC because of the IJAWS The blew pipelines and Empowered militants They turned ONELGA into den of Kidnapping Foreign companies got tired and relocated their headquarters to lagos

No Niger Delta creek can come close, when we talk about organisation and structures in localities like the Gbenefa in ilaje LGA area of Ondo State. If not sea incursion that's our problem, we wouldn't be having all this issues.

Isn’t it ironic that Micheal Okpara was canvassing for the split of the Yoruba Western region to create a Midwest region while refusing that a COR region (from the East containing the Efik, Ibibio, Ijaw, Ogoni, Ikwerre) be created You want to hold unto your minorities but you want to weaken others by splitting their minorities Micheal Okpara used the allegation of a militant wing within the COR movement to argue against creating the proposed state COR state in 1959. That was his justification for trapping Efik, Ibibios and Ijaws against their wishes in the East till the collapse for the first republic
Young and ebullient Michael Okpara toured the whole of the region canvassing support for the creation of Mid-West . His aura and glory were contagious!

In August, the Minister visited Ogheye and Oboghoro communities in Warri North LGA, Delta State, to inspect the NUCAP project firsthand. Now, the project is being highlighted as part of a national initiative to connect underserved communities across Nigeria, with 3,700 telecommunications towers planned nationwide. For communities like Ogheye and Oboghoro, this is more than infrastructure. It means improved connectivity, new economic opportunities, better access to information, and a stronger link to the rest of the country. Thank you to Mr President…
NUCAP is here. Another major step towards connecting every Nigerian. Starting with the commissioning of our first site in Bende, Abia State, NUCAP will deliver 3,700 telecommunications towers across Nigeria, connecting close to 20 million Nigerians currently without access. For the farmer unable to reach a buyer, the trader unable to receive a payment, or the family unable to call for help, connectivity opens up possibilities too long denied. President @officialABAT’s ambition for a $1 trillion economy requires every Nigerian to have the opportunity to contribute and share in its prosperity. That is why this investment matters. With NUCAP, no community will be left behind. Explore the project and check your community at fmcide.gov.ng/nucap Promise made. Promise kept.

This is the current update on the ongoing Coastal Highway in Ilaje LGA, Ondo State. They are current at Gerige axis which beyond Ipare. When I visit I will do proper video. Let me state again that if the Ilajes have issues with the current alignment, they should speak with their Obas and Governor. Thank you. @oMoTonsore @woye1 @AbdulkarimTaof4 @OpeBee
