Here's the announcement. 🚨🚨
I'm officially coaching under Trophy Dad Coaching with @HypertrophyHub.
Working a 9-5, retired veteran, and a father of 2. 40 years old and in the best shape of my life. The weight room sorted me out. Now I help other dads do the same.
Dads were meant to lead and set the example. Your body represents whether you're ready to do either.
If you're tired of being told you're "fine," apps are open.

Some may not know it, but hunting and the outdoors are a huge part of my life. Hence wanting to be fit enough to do this.
First sit of the year. Hunting isn’t about the kill. It’s about everything that happens leading up to it. The peace, the quiet, time slows down, and you can reflect.
Get outside in God’s creation. You won’t regret it.
🦌 🎯
If you think it takes all of that to have a body like that you’re retarded. I’m assuming lazy as well based on using all of that as an excuse.
Don’t install barriers that don’t exist.
On a work trip and using the on post gym.
Saw a dad with his little boy here before 6am. There still are good men doing good things. Teach, mold, and forge your sons while you can.
Makes me miss my son, but I value those workouts with him. I just hope they did as much for him as they did for me.
Currently at the gym.
One kid is wearing YoungLA (insta-ghey) and his partner is wearing closed toe Birkenstocks (also insta-ghey). Both haven’t put their phones down.
Dads…do better please.
Growth season is upon us.
Eating a ton of clean food becomes a chore. A lot of people think doing the work in the gym is hard. Doing a clean growth is putting the food down even when you don’t want to while also not straying to the “dirty” side.
Bulking isn’t an excuse to become a fat POS. Remained disciplined, keep showing up.

I am getting lots of incoming questions about the public execution of Nidal Hasan, mostly because I have been outspoken on wanting public executions for over a decade.
My position is simple: Executions should be public and brutal, not private and medicalized. They are the ultimate example of the state's monopoly on violence, and the only way to keep that from running out of control is to confront voters with the trade they have made every single time, that they might have appropiate confidence or revulsion in the institution.
This is not new thinking. George Washington thought the same. The way we have shifted from hanging to firing squads to doctors quietly injecting chemicals that send our worst gently off to sleep is awful and dystopian, a total short-circuiting of important feedback mechanisms. It makes needless executions more likely, not less so. People who demean this as barbaric or yucky miss the whole point. It doesn't somehow become torture or inhumane (as the UN is suddenly claiming) just because we decline to hide the act behind a curtain.
And then there are those who suggest any revel in the death of those who truly deserve it is an indicator of a broken or diseased mind. To the contrary. It is normal, good, and aligned with our natural and national order. That it has not been done here in 60 years is an indictment in and of itself.
And that is without even getting into the fact that men were not hung for stealing horse, but that horses may not be stolen.
"I would to God that one of the most attrocious in each State was hung in Gibbets, up on a gallows five times as high as the one prepared by Haman. No punishment, in my opinion, is too great for the Man, who can build his greatness upon his Country’s ruin."
- George Washington, 1778
First time using the Hume scale.
It’s one of those items that seems too good to be true lol. Super fast feedback/metrics and I’m actually very impressed. No clue on the variance for accuracy, but it gave me confidence nonetheless.
Little over 4 months post-show, and growing season has begun.
This is exactly the whole point behind it.
And for all you soft SOBs that want to say it’s too cruel or whatever just look at the recent activity in TN. I can assure you that when this is mission complete life support won’t be able to keep Hasan alive.
Before I got serious about the gym I started off with a lot of excuses or questions that doubled as excuses.
All of them got answered after I started.
Haven’t stopped since.
Four numbers matter more than your program, and none of them are lifts. Protein, sleep, steps, and water. Those are the floor.
I spent years changing exercises while sleeping five hours and eating maybe 80 grams of protein. Then I wondered why nothing moved. You can't out-train that. It doesn't matter how good the program is if the basics are falling through the floor.
For me, protein was the first one to fix. Not a perfect diet. Just getting enough every day and making it boring. Then sleep, steps, and water. Don't try to overhaul all four tonight. Pick the one you're worst at and fix that for two weeks.
These aren't extras you do after the program. They are the program. The lift is the visible part. The floor is what makes it work.
Stop restarting on Monday. It's the single worst habit you have. If you miss Wednesday's session, Wednesday's session becomes Thursday's. That's it.
You didn't lose the week; you moved one workout. The problem with restarting is that it gives you the feeling of trying without requiring you to train today. You get to feel organized on Sunday night, then call the whole thing off when the week gets messy. Don't do that.
Two sessions is a win. Four is the target. Three is normal. Zero is the only failure. A full-time job, kids, and a bad day don't require a perfect week; they require the next available session.
Keep the plan moving forward instead of waiting for a clean Monday. If you miss, adjust the calendar and go. That's the rule.
Four days a week, 45 minutes. That's the entire plan I ran in the early stages.
I didn't build something that looked impressive on paper. I built something that could survive a bad week. Six days sounds better until work runs late, one kid gets sick, and you miss Tuesday.
Four gives you room. Forty-five minutes is about the longest block a working dad can defend without making his family pay for it while figuring it out. If I change everything every week, I can't tell whether I'm getting stronger or just entertaining myself. It's boring on purpose.
Boring is what survives an unpredictable week. I didn't need a perfect plan. I needed one I could still run when the week got ugly. The four sessions are simple, and the point is that I can keep showing up for all of them.
Got after the trunks today.
Used to hate legs. Now having developed my legs I have to say I’m the most proud of my legs. Going to a dark place session after session to get there has me learning more about myself every time.

Been a little under the weather the past couple of days.
I used to skip the gym when I was sick. I don’t anymore. In fact, I feel like it shortens the span of symptoms of if I just keep going. Not sure if there anything to it, but that’s my experience.
Go when it’s easy, persevere when it’s hard
