me! chasing money/status though as i realized that they are useful assets to have in the arsenal. my "poet" era is definitely from another lifetime (~2016-2021). reminds me i should add make my scribblings public as they are currently locked behind a private insta account.

amusing how my angsty seeker years (2017-21) spent trying to grok the universe/self/consciousness felt completely orthogonal to my professional life back then but turns out they were good post-training for dealing with the era of machine intelligence
i was in a random bookstore & came across a book that described achieving moksha as achieving “super intelligence”. the hindu religion figured it out a while ago.

Amazing poker night yesterday (my first one after undergrad lol). Thank you @rajatsuri and everyone who made this happen. Didn’t expect to stay for 6 hours given how much of an introvert I generally am 😅 Nice to witness sprouting of a legit community in South Bay :)
Super fun night at the South Bay Renaissance event last night. Folks stayed for 6+ hours! Pics on the group chat Lots of great discussions and plans in motion on how to get the South Bay flywheel turning in the right direction. We are doing this! Sorry to all folks who could not get in off the waitlist but it was jam packed. Many more events being launched soon, and 3-4 more already scheduled for the rest of this month. DM me for details if you’d like to learn more or get involved in some way!

either nothing is artificial or everything is. "artificial" is just a vanity label we use to separate human agency from the rest of nature. if humans are a natural part of the universe, our outputs are natural too. are whale songs or dolphin clicks natural or artificial?

reminds me of @unconvAI. @NaveenGRao speaking at a stanford event was my intro to their work on unconventional substrates for computing.

codex's inter-thread orchestration is top notch🤌 xitter.cf/curious_queue/status/2…

i love how you made the inter-task handling a first-class citizen (not sure what's the correct name anymore to refer to an individual chat/thread/session/task). i was able to create a new task to be run on my mac from an ongoing task on a VM. earlier i needed to use complex terminal multiplexer setup to do such a thing. also love how easy it is to ask a task's thread to read the context from other threads (on multiple machines) or send them a message. codex can be a fullfledged orchestration backend on its own without needing a separate setup like symphony!

i use local threads these days mainly for in-app browser use as they have much better native support (even for computer use) i've always had a bad time getting VM-hosted threads to do in-app browser use that i just resorted to having them spawn a local thread instead

can relate. i started using the i-have-adhd skill to ask agents to give me a minimal version of the plan to make it easy for me to review. this is the one in my repo: github.com/ma08/botfiles/blo… og version: github.com/ayghri/i-have-adh…

codex has native support to rename thread titles. a scheduled task made it easy to configure custom auto-update behavior. i just checked if claude code has it so that you can use a similar routine :(it doesn't). codex got more of the r in rsi. xitter.cf/curious_queue/status/2…
