Americans 💙 Democratic governors. When all of Tuesday’s votes get tallied, 75% of Americans will be governed by DEM Govs. 😎

The DGA had a historic night and now 30 Dem Govs will represent 3 out of every 4 Americans.
Our team is proud that a big part of that success was working with state parties and local partners to build the largest comms embed program in the country and the DGA's history.

From press conferences in front of gas stations to landing the oppo that wins races, these are the scrappy, talented and creative comms staffers on gov races who led the charge on the ground to hold Republicans accountable in Trump 2.0.
It's hard work and often thankless.

Kathy Hochul didn't just end the careers of Mike Lawler, Elise Stefanik and Bruce Blakeman. She has sent NY Republicans into civil war. What a boss.

Katie Hobbs has never lost an election.
2026: Crushed an election denier, delivered a Dem trifecta
2022: Beat Kari Lake to flip gov office
2018: First Dem elected SOS in AZ in nearly 30 years
She protects democracy and drinks MAGA tears with a crisp glass of sauv blanc.

From 3 Black governors ever elected in our nation's history, to 4 Black Democratic governors elected in one night— history was made!
@IAmWesMoore, @KeishaForGA, @DavidCCrowley and @AaronDFordNV are ready to get to work 💪

The gubernatorial races got a lot of attention towards the end but the only reason our candidates were in a position to win is because of the hard, unglamorous, years-in-the-making work of Meghan and her @DemGovs team.
For a case study in running strong campaigns, study them.
A remarkable turnaround from eight years ago, when Dems held just 16 of the country’s 50 governorships. They steadily gained ground to hold 24 governor’s seats going into the midterm elections.
No GOP flipped a Democratic-held governor’s seat this year.

If we do this right:
So many more Americans will get healthcare.
So much more clean energy will be built.
So many schools are going to have more teachers and books and computers.
So many families will have a bit more to spend on food and housing.
This is why we do the work.

A string of stunning Democratic upsets in governors races across the country will put Democrats in charge of deep-red states where they have not held the top jobs in decades.

For too long, our country hasn’t had enough women in executive leadership positions.
Now, we officially have a record number of Democratic women governors — 15!
And for the first time since 1992, there are 30 Democratic governors.
What an incredible night for @DemGovs!
