Floresta’s Q4 2026 roadmap is out.
Goal: a welcoming project. Stronger tests, dependable CI, automation that gives devs time back and logs that explain what the node is doing. As code gets cheaper to write, verifying it matters more.

Btrust’s long-term developer grant program is expanding beyond Africa, starting with Brazil 🇧🇷 and India 🇮🇳.
We’re excited to welcome three new developer grantees: @plebhash, @_oleonardolima, and @AnshSharma54105.
This expansion is being carried out in partnership with @Vinteum_org in Brazil and @bitshala_org in India, two organizations that have supported the developers’ growth and connected them to local Bitcoin communities.

Anyone with a >2Gbps internet willing to help us testing something? We don't need any particularly beefy machine, 8GB RAM/Disk 4-Core CPU manufactured after 2015 is fine (I think even SBCs will do).

Vinteum’s fourth year was about becoming a more durable organization.
Supporting established contributors. Helping emerging developers move toward sustained open-source careers. Strengthening the systems around that work.
The Year Four Report is out.

Turns out I wrote 3 posts to explain one line of C++, because of everything it hides.

Building a new Bitcoin node implementation is one challenge. Making it reliable enough for others to build on is another.
Proud to support the work behind @getfloresta as the project enters this next stage.
New Floresta roadmap 🌳
What we shipped in Q2, what we’re hardening in Q3, and why the focus is shifting from adding capabilities to making Floresta easier to trust, diagnose, and maintain.

Working on a new mutation testing dashboard for Bitcoin Core.
It will include not only the mutation testing report that I update every week, but also the reports per PR.
It will be possible to check the mutation score of a file and PR, see the commands/tests used to evaluate the mutants, copy the diff of a mutant, easily report if a mutant is useless (can be removed from the report), etc.
