Something needs to be done about that road.
FUN FACT: Driving from Dele-Yes-Sir to Oke-fia, you will encounter a total of One Hundred and Thirty-Five (135) potholes:
Dele-Yes-Sir to Prime Junction — 56
Prime Junction to Capital Junction — 16
Capital Junction to Oke-fia — 63
The @Osun_State_Gov, Sen. @AAdeleke_01, and other relevant authorities need to intervene swiftly as this particular road is one of the major roads in the heart of the State Capital.
Good afternoon. ✌️✌️✌️

I'm glad they got a new opportunity to keep the business running.
In May, Chimoney, the Nigerian-founded cross-border payment infrastructure fintech, ran out of capital, paused transactions, and said it was shutting down.
Four weeks later, it signed an agreement to be acquired by CapitalSage Holdings, the Nigerian financial services group that operates Kolomoni Microfinance Bank.
That deal reversed Chimoney's shutdown, providing capital that extended the fintech's runway, allowing it to resume operations and address liquidity constraints that threatened its survival.
Now, the deal has closed, with CapitalSage relaunching Chimoney as a B2B business, and Tiki, a consumer-facing remittance app targeting UK and Canada corridors.

Why do some tech companies fail after spending millions?
On You & Tech @WStv_NG, I and @Kayodefafiyebi discussed why big budgets don't guarantee success from poor planning to building products nobody needs.
Great software doesn't automatically make a successful business.

Well done.
Gaming is a niche that deserves more attention.
Lagos Life launched on October 1st. Just 9 days later, over 4.7 million people have played the game.
Today, I’m excited to announce that Vatar, the parent company behind Lagos Life, has closed a $500K angel round led by AB Hassan (@ijbguy), Nathan Nwachuku (@_KingNath), and GB Agboola (@TechProd_Arch).
Lagos is just the beginning. We’re building entire worlds, and there’s so much more to come. 🌍

This is beautiful.
EXCLUSIVE : Vatar Inc., the company behind the viral Nigerian browser game @LagosLifeApp , has closed a $500,000 pre-seed round at a $10 million valuation three days after incorporation, according to a company statement.
“We built something people love that is growing very fast, so a lot of investors wanted to be involved,” Shalom Rayhamen, co-founder and CEO of Vatar Inc., told TechCabal in an interview. “We got the opportunity to connect and hear their offers, and because we are growing so fast, we closed it quickly so we could focus on the product.”
Olugbenga “GB” Agboola, Flutterwave’s CEO, invested through his fund, Resilience17. Oo Nwoye, Nathan Nwachuku, Terra Industries CEO, and Abdulhamid Hassan, Mono’s CEO, also participated in the round, which the company says closed in a day.
Lagos Life is part of a wave of Nigerian-made browser games sparked by Lagos Run, Opeyemi Adeniran’s game about driving a danfo, the iconic yellow bus, through Lagos, which drew more than 140,000 players in its first week. Rayhamen built Lagos Life days after seeing Lagos Run on X, and copycats soon followed.

There's a new version of this post
A not too expensive VPS will handle this very well.
I’ve been awake since, I have written several versions of this and this is the most polite I could do!
Dear @cryptobaddiee1, since you muted that tweet, I'll just drop this here.
Lagos Life right now: 103,600 players online, 2.25M total, and 1.65M visits today. That must be terrifying for someone whose entire business model is a Telegram bot.
You asked, "What do I know?" Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Your server bill somehow appreciated by $90k between two tweets.
If your coins pumped like your estimates, you wouldn't need to rug anybody.
Here's a free lesson, no gas fees needed: 2.25M users doesn't mean 2.25M concurrent users. Even at peak, fewer than 5% are online at once.
One efficient server on Hetzner can handle roughly 100k concurrent connections for under $50 a month. Put Redis in front of the database, cache everything hot, add backpressure so the DB never chokes, scale vertically, and add replicas only when the graphs actually ask for them, you might not understand all this, and that’s fine this is not a derogatory statement, trust me. Even if you need two boxes, you're still under $100 a month.
How dumb of us to run efficient systems when we could have been panic-pricing our ignorance instead.
As for your "Who's watching the adverts?" Enough people that Chowdeck, Salary Index, and ONErpm are paying to be seen. One campaign hit a 38% tap-through rate, when normal banner ads pray for just 1%.
Advertisers are actively queueing up for slots. But please, by all means, continue your audit.
And let's stop pretending you ever cared about servers. What's really breaking your heart is that there's no token ticker to attach to Afrika Shrine or Quilox. No presale, no exit liquidity, and no bagholders to exploit. You came looking for a playground to rug and accidentally stumbled onto an app people actually use.
You muted the thread because you claim you "can't argue with money-dumb people." Miss, you argued cloud costs using two completely different numbers in the same thread. The money-dumb person was right there in those tweets.
Staying muted and avoiding these conversations would have been the smartest thing you did this week, but I guess you aren't that smart, and that's fine too. Prove me right by blocking me after you see this.
Always rooting for you big.
Guys I won oo 🥳🥳🥳

Hi Nora, @TheRixelStudios
I mostly shoot with my phone and sometimes borrow a camera for bigger productions. Having my own camera gimbal would help me achieve smoother professional shots.
