Have been facing this issue with many things for many years now - in some areas (like toys) there is some improvement over the last few years, but anything with some electronics in it (like the record-and-sing back or talking ones etc) is still heavily Chinese
I went to buy pencil box in a local stationary shop today. I was shocked to see that Chinese boxes have replaced most of the Indian Make boxes. The shopkeeper said that kids don’t like basic design boxes. These boxes are not selling cheap anymore.
By saving a few lacs by not hiring good Industrial Designers and Mechanical Engineers, our industries lost 100 crore worth markets to China.

So…Google has explained, to Congress, why searches involving Trump have been suppressed lately.
It was … a bug.
Because, you know, software has bugs, right? I mean — you can’t expect software to not have bugs, that’s unreasonable. Bugs are just a normal characteristic of all software, right? So don’t worry, we’ll fix it in the next release.
So now we understand that there are people who put a high value on bugs. Those people are… lawyers. Every time that we, programmers, tell the world that bugs are inevitable, the lawyers who defend corrupt practices smile.
