It’s my Googleversary! It’s been 1 year since I moved to Atlanta, changed careers, & began my official journey as a working developer. So proud of how far I’ve come! 💙❤️💛💚
I say all this to say, it’s time for me to take a break tech. It would feel great to not have a plan right now. To visit my favorite coffee shop. Take a walk on the Beltline. Take my dog to a park. Commit to my skincare routine. Clean up my space. I wish you all well 🩷
I’ve been DoorDashing since the end of my Google apprenticeship in May so I can keep the lights on & buy food. AND kept practicing. Kept applying. Kept networking. Kept building. Kept learning. All to put myself on the back burner. I am not myself anymore.
I’ve been a bit ducked off because had a final interview on Wednesday, & I’ve been crying for the past 2 days just trying to make sense of this whole engineering journey. & tbh, it’s time for me to give up.
Since the 4th of July I poured my heart, soul, time, energy, & everything I had into a document I made of over 100 Android development-related questions. I studied every SINGLE one, & made sure I could explain every piece of architecture.
I’m trying my hardest to not give up. It’s hard to keep up the façade that things are ok when I’m really not ok.
