⚠️ Microsoft Confirms Windows 11 Update Bug Causing Black Screens and Loading Issues
Details: cybersecuritynews.com/window…
Microsoft has confirmed a Windows 11 issue that can leave users staring at a black screen after signing in, with the desktop shell failing to start automatically.
The problem emerged after installation of the August 27, 2026 non-security preview updates and later cumulative updates.
Microsoft lists the incident as “mitigated,” while engineers continue developing a permanent correction for a future Windows update.
The failure has been observed primarily on Azure Virtual Desktop hosts using FSLogix, particularly when sessions load certain existing user profiles. Affected users may authenticate but never reach a usable desktop.

We’re building Copilot as a new OS for work that spans every model, every form factor, and every task. Today, we’re announcing our biggest update to Copilot to date, bringing four things together:
· Autopilot: proactive and long-running agent built for the enterprise
· Code: build apps with Copilot, hosted inside your company’s tenant
· Home: Chat + Cowork together
· Office: now fully embedded in Copilot (and Copilot embedded in Office, of course!)
Plus, you can invoke Copilot in Teams, and we’re introducing Today, a proactive experience that surfaces the most important information from across M365 without needing to ask for it.
The way we work is changing and so are our workflows. This update brings AI into that flow, from answering a question, to building an app, to getting work done on your behalf.

Microsoft has confirmed that Windows includes a Global Device ID (GDID), a permanent identifier automatically assigned to a PC during installation.
According to Microsoft, the GDID is used for security purposes,The company says it is not used for advertising or tracking users across apps and websites.
Unlike advertising IDs, the GDID cannot be disabled or reset by users, as it is designed to remain tied to the device for its lifetime.
Microsoft publicly acknowledged the identifier only after it appeared in court documents related to an FBI investigation.

Companies make deleting your account harder than getting a divorce.
So, a guy named Robb built a directory of direct links to delete your account from web services.
It is called JustDeleteMe.
You type in a company name. It gives you the exact URL that kills your account, plus a color telling you how much of a fight they're going to put up.
🟩 Green means two clicks.
🟨 Yellow means you'll have to dig.
🟥 Red means they've made it deliberately painful.
⬛️ Black means you literally cannot delete it, ever, no matter what you do.
That last category is the part that gets people.
There are companies sitting in the black tier right now holding your name, your email, your photos, your search history, and there is no button anywhere on their site that removes any of it. Not hidden. Not hard. Just absent.
Most people have somewhere between 100 and 300 accounts they've forgotten about. Old forums. That one shopping site from 2014. The app you downloaded once for a coupon.
Every single one is still sitting on a server with your data in it, waiting to show up in the next breach headline.
JustDeleteMe turns a weekend of misery into an afternoon.
Its sister site, JustGetMyData, does the reverse. Direct links to request everything a company has collected on you before you pull the plug. Download it first. Then delete.
Nobody is going to clean this up for you.
