Over 20,000 sheep under solar panels create a desert miracle! In northwest China's Qinghai Province, the land was once desert. The panels block wind and sunlight, allowing grass to grow and turning desert into grassland.

So it seems the RBA has now decided it should’ve increased interest rates when Scotty was in charge & because it didn’t, it had to put them up steeper & harder than it would have if it had acted earlier. So it’s not Labor’s fault after all. We can blame Scotty & Phillip Lowe.

Other than China and Russia, there is no nation developing Small Modular Nuclear Reactors , as the US firm attempting to develop them had cost blowouts from 3-5-10 billion dollars and delays from 2024-2025,2030 and then the financiers pulled funding .

Oh dear, dear.
Sen Jane Hume must have caught the @FairAusADV bug and begun diddling the numbers.
Here we have Jane posing with ooooh, threes of Liberal volunteers - two of whom happen to be herself. 😬

The more I hear from the Covid enquiry, the more I think that the PM and the majority of ministers did not have the intellectual tools necessary to understand scientific advice and therefore to be able to weigh it successfully alongside economics, social science etc. In my view this can be traced to educational failure - they weren’t taught or didn’t learn the basics of science alongside their chosen disciplines. This also applies the other way round to scientists of course. Breadth of knowledge is key, as well as specialisation / expertise, and I don’t think our system delivered that in the 80s and 90s when I (and they) went to University - whether it does that today is an open question. I think we need to be producing more polymaths.

Speaking to my mum last night. She’s 83. This is her certificate of citizenship. She scrubbed floors and worked stations for no wage: just room and board. All for a better life for us kids
She walks around the Pilbara with her Yes shirt. Not one of her non Indigenous “friends” are voting yes. When they ask her why-she says this:
“Our entire lives all we have heard is “no”
Before I die; I want to hear Yes.
It means that much-and I cannot argue with that ❤️🖤💛

Thanks for sharing, Tracy.
My mum is 91. She grew up near Cowra where Aboriginal people could only walk on one side of the bridge to cross the Lachlan River & everybody else used the other side of the bridge.
I am so proud to say she is voting yes.
