2/2) Broadly, on sweeteners, I feel people like to lean into heuristics like:
👉"No such thing as a free lunch" vs "Zero calories and therefore benign.
Or
👉Natural means 'okay' vs Artificial means 'bad'
In truth, sweeteners are a heterogenous group of molecules with unique metabolic properties that deserve to be interrogated with nuance appropriate to their metabolic complexity. I think the data from this study highlight that beautifully!

I think AI/ML can revolutionize a lot of industries, healthcare included.
But foundationally, health is about relationships above all else.
Getting the basics right is still hard for many orgs. Even w all the fancy tech, human interaction usually is best intervention

Getting good sleep is one of the easiest ways to keep immunity strong. When you’re sleeping well, your body does its repairs, clears out cellular debris and makes and releases cytokines, proteins that mediate and regulate immunity, and can help fight inflammation and infection.

If diabetes among young people continues to rise as quickly as it did between 2002 and 2017, the number of people under age 20 with type 2 diabetes may surge nearly 675% in the United States by 2060, according to a new study published by the American Diabetes Association.
“Nearly everyone has a disorder of carbohydrate metabolism,” says Florence, Comite, MD, founder of the Comite Center for Precision Medicine & Health. “Diabetes is Darwinian; we are genetically predisposed to this disorder.”
Notice how you’ll come down with a cold after taking a red-eye flight or not getting enough sleep? Your immune system uses rest to produce antibodies, cytokines, and more. Without enough sleep, your immune system can’t build enough of these infection fighters to protect you.
Over time, a lack of proper sleep is linked to an [increased risk of obesity](pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/1558…). Sleep disruption affects your hormones. Many of those hormones also play a role in your appetite and, therefore, your weight.
It's never too early to start taking charge of your health. 💪
