Here are a few things I did to scale a home improvement company that was stuck at $1.5M to $4M in 10 months (no, not ads) <> we fixed how long it took to get quotes out. what would take hours we compressed into minutes <> took a hard look at the books. who were the best customers? where was the margin leaking? are we optimizing labor allocation based on gross margin goals? <> that gave us the confidence to reposition the company, build a new website that was seo focused, commit resources to weekly seo work, and trust the data <> combed through leads that been accumulated over the years and ran a sequenced email campaign <> fixed up the google business profile and began posting 3x a week. progress photos, helpful content, inspirational content <> a lead would reach out and maybe be contacted that day, maybe a few days later, now we make an immediate first touch within minutes of receiving an inquiry <> made professional proposals with project renderings and clear contracts. <> implemented employee career plans - if you stay and learn, you will earn, is our motto. we stick to it. <> created a project board the company works off of. now everyone knows eah project status <> launched cold email campaigns to our target market (single biggest revenue generator by far) hope this gives you some ideas for your business, and let me know what you've done. share with someone who needs to hear this.

it’s pretty incredible how zoning and permits can kill a deal make a home run become unthinkable why

if your close rate isn’t high and you feel good about your price look at your SOPs to get the language you to use in your marketing it’s not “we sell and install motorized pergolas, sign here” it’s “here’s out 87 step process from idea to finished handoff” - and walking them through each part where they have questions remove any objections you can over communicate

lmao what
BREAKING: Anthropic posted Q3 2026 revenue of $16.8 billion, up nearly +50% from the $11.5 billion recorded in prior quarter, per FT. Anthropic also told investors that it posted a profit for the quarter as it prepares to launch its $2+ trillion IPO as soon as next month.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Anthropic's reported profit was on an adjusted operating income basis, not GAAP. This metric excludes stock-based compensation, model-training costs, and partner revenue-share (e.g. Amazon's cut); the company remains deeply unprofitable on a full-year GAAP basis. finance.yahoo.com/technology/ai/… dealroom.co/news/other-1wf…

in 2017 I was using snap ads for a manufacturer of flavors and fragrances to target industry shows with geofencing pushing traffic to a landing page that had a specific show offer booth was $10k and I ran $100 of ads to be seen by 10,000 people who were in the show

some underappreciated changes for american manufacturers: • up to $10m in combined sba financing • repeat 504 loans for distinct projects • up to $5m in manufacturing revolving credit • 90% loan guarantees real tools to finance factories, equipment and working capital
American military strength starts with small businesses. Today, SBA launched sba.gov/swpc in collaboration with @DeptofWar—the new digital home of the Smaller War Plants Commission and the premier resource hub for small defense firms ready to expand production. From capital to contracting, the Trump Administration is backing the businesses that deliver for our warfighters - and rebuilding the industrial might behind American military dominance.
