We launched our first CommerceGurus Community Survey yesterday and it's already a goldmine of interesting responses.
If you haven't had your say yet, we'd love to hear from you. It helps steer the direction of our products and shapes what we build next!

Here's the announcement post: businessbloomer.com/forget-s…
In a nutshell, also to reply to many that asked questions:
- I’ve been postponing my WooCommerce redesign for months.
- It’s now blocking bigger business changes.
- I’m skipping staging and doing it in production.
- I’ll ship an MVP first (header, footer, cart, checkout).
- I’m moving from Storefront to Shoptimizer by @commercegurus
- I’m leaving Storefront after 10+ years.
- I don’t enjoy block themes or FSE.
- I care more about performance and CRO than design. Shoptimizer + CommerceKit supports that focus.
- I’ll share everything publicly on X as I go.

We launched something new recently which we've wanted to build for years. We make Shoptimizer, a WooCommerce theme built around speed. But the same things kept coming up: a fast theme only gets you so far. Bloated CSS/JS, big images, third-party scripts all drag perf scores down

It's amazing to see early users of our CommerceGurus Turbo performance plugin enjoying what we've built.
If you have a WooCommerce store and are struggling with perf I'd love to get you set up - just reply or send a DM.

We've just launched CommerceGurus Turbo - a performance plugin built specifically for WooCommerce.
Includes page caching, critical CSS, Cloudflare integration + lots more.
If you're into WooCommerce perf, I'd love you to give it a go - DM me and I'll sort out a license

Hey everyone, and happy April the 1st. I guess this is the moment where I should announce something completely ridiculous about Checkout Summit 2026.
Like, I don't know, we're turning it into a fully AI conference with no speakers, no audience, just bots talking to each other. But no.
So, as you know, we made a very deliberate choice this year. No recordings, no live streams. The goal is to keep everything really valuable for those coming to Palermo. But over the past few weeks, I've been speaking with a lot of people, and right now, travel isn't easy. Many people have had loads of problems.
So I decided to do something about this, and drum rolls...
On May the 7th and May the 8th, I'm running Checkout Summit Reloaded, which is a live online edition where all the talks come back, but not as recordings. So each speaker will rerun their talk live, tailored specifically for an online audience.
We'll also have additional guest speakers, all covering the ins and outs of WooCommerce. That means that you can watch everything live, you can ask questions, you can interact with the speakers, you can chat with other attendees, and if you can make it live, recordings will be available for you forever.
I'm expecting anywhere between 100 and 1,000 WooCommerce professionals from all over the world. So if that sounds interesting, just go to checkoutsummit.com/reloaded/ for all the details.

Excited to share the first Checkout Summit 2026 speaker announcement today: Patrick Rauland
@BFTrick was someone I followed back in the Woo days—I really admired his blog posts and content. Fast forward, and now he’s joining us at Checkout Summit!
Patrick is the Sr. Ecommerce Engineer at Xero Shoes, helping grow their online presence and sales. He’s led three major WooCommerce releases, co-founded WooSesh, launched products on Kickstarter, and shares his knowledge via LinkedIn Learning and Packt.
His talk: “An Apples-to-Apples Look at WooCommerce vs. Shopify After a Large-Scale Migration”, is going to be amazing. We’re talking millions of orders, customers, custom products, and bespoke flows—the kind of stuff that only comes from real, large-scale experience.
Check out Patrick’s profile (and the other speakers) here: checkoutsummit.com/speakers/
I can’t wait to share the rest of the presentations over the coming weeks!
Doing some WP site maintenance work. Needed to rip out some old GA/GTM plugins that are no longer supported - it was the perfect opportunity to take @google Site Kit for a spin. One of the best plugin onboarding experiences in a long time. Kudos to @james_ozzie and team!
