First I built effetch: typed HTTP calls for Effect, every failure a tagged error.
TanStack Query was next, the gold standard. But I wanted my cache in Effect too: same services, typed errors, no promise in between.
So I built the other half.
🚀 Introducing effetch-query 🧵

I observed something about icons and text, per colors.
Under 48px sizes...
Some of the best icon libraries i have used rarely come in black color, most of them come in a really dark shade of blue, but in one way or another a lighter form of black.
This observation i carried on for years, along side my personal experience let me to this theory;
These icon-creators actually anticipate those icons to be used alongside a black-text, or a darker shade text [ compared to the icon's color ] at least.
And the color they chose, is the right fit for a black text, which looks to me, better than a black icon beside a black text [ as i have shown in the image below ].
Takeaway...
Icons, should be a just little larger than the corresponding text per size [ or whatever already works for you ], but their colors should be a little lighter, however you may achieve this [ maybe using the opacity, or an entirely different hexcode, only to mention a few methods ].
Doing this that brings about some kind of subtle visual balance that i can not particularly express in logic.
I'm using icons from @huge_icons for this example. The first is the default color and the last is outright black.

I'm so happy about this app I created.
It's a downloader app for Twitter, Tiktok, Instagram and Pinterest.
I usually have to copy links and paste in those annoying downloader websites that show annoying ads.
So I built one that supports all these platforms, downloads everything in original quality and the best part, everything happens on-device and I don't need to close the app I'm using, all I have to do is copy the link, it watches my clipboard and automatically does the download.
