🚀 **Level Up Your Networking Skills with Ivan Velichko's Course!** 🌐
As a **DevOps engineer**, I’ve often found myself troubleshooting connectivity issues, setting up Kubernetes networking, or deciding on a CNI plugin. But one thing I’ve realized: without a solid foundation in **networking fundamentals**, higher-level problems can become much harder to solve. 🤔
That’s why I’ve enrolled in Ivan Velichko’s **“From LAN to VXLAN: Networking Basics for Non-Network Engineers.”** This course demystifies the often-overlooked **Data Link Layer (OSI Layer 2)** concepts like Ethernet, switches, VLANs, and VXLANs, while connecting them to higher-level protocols like IP. 💡
And here’s the best part—I got the **Lifetime Membership** for just **$62.50** during the Black Friday sale (thanks to the PPP-adjusted pricing for Indians). I absolutely **recommend** it if you want to deepen your understanding of networking fundamentals! 🎉
---
### What You’ll Learn:
✅ The difference between LAN, VLAN, and VXLAN.
✅ How bridges, switches, and routers work in real data centers.
✅ Hands-on labs to set up VLANs, L2/L3 networks, and IP subnets using Linux tools.
✅ Real-world insights for cloud and containerized environments like Kubernetes and Docker.
---
### Black Friday Deals 🎉

🧵 Yesterday we mapped the physical limits of the M4's Matrix Coprocessor. But raw speed isn't enough.
Local inference forces a brutal trilemma: Speed (MLX) vs Formats (GGUF) vs Context (OOM).
Today, v0.2 Targets this tradeoff. 🧵👇

I don’t get why people dismiss the most obvious interpretation. They are not saying notary thing is the most important roadblock, they say it as an example of hostility towards entrepreneurs!
Because its catchy and strikingly obnoxious thing to mandate!
Another example is @paulg latching onto the traitor jab from Palmer Lucky!
Obviously he meant traitor to the people, not the state! Figuratively!
I feel its a weak technique in debates!
For more than a day I have seen people quoting this post and saying how bad Germany is for entrepreneurs due to that.
If your company fails because you had to sit through a notary session then you would have failed anyway.
The actual problems with Germany are a lot worse and much deeper. Notaries are annoying sure.
But the entire country and its system is built to kill enterpreneurship and discourage it at every point.
Some other examples apart from the notaries:
- Dealing with the cross-EU VAT situation the moment your company has more than 10k yearly revenue. (yes you heard it right making 10k in a year ... as a company).
- Having to identify all users online (asking them for address/country), charge them different VAT depending on their country and follow the VAT changes in real time as they happen.
- Absolutely zero help from the state. Zero. Nada. Nothing. Nichts.
- Instead of help you are greeted with utter hostility and suspicion.
- Dealing with the German tax system and getting audited multiple times in a 8 year period. Yes a tiny company of 3-4 people being audited multiple times because hey ... why not? Competing world-wide is not a hard enough task, let's make it impossible to function.
- Social security and insurances. All your employees costs you roughly 20-25% more than their stated salaries.
- If you are a company with more than 10 employees then good luck letting people go when you need to.
- Completely random expenses every year such as the IHK expenses (chamber of commerce membership), some employee accident insurance that you must always have even if you have no offices etc.
These are just some things that popped up in my head as I write this. There is a lot more and it's just sad.
As a country, Germany is made to stop you from being successful. They are stuck in the past for everything and this is why the economy here is failing. And it won't get better anytime soon. Things will get a lot worse before they get better. As I see nothing happening to fix any of these. Instead somehow it's all the immigrant's fault and the far right is rising. /s
Sorry for the late night rant
⚡ Fresh DGX Spark (GB10), pulled the new Qwen3.8-Flash-Next, hit go: server crashed at CUDA graph capture.
Cause: SGLang's fast sparse-decode kernel wasn't enabled on sm_121, so GB10 fell to a broken fallback. The one-line fix admits it. Now merged.

🐛→✅ Fixed in Erigon: eth_estimateGas was non-deterministic. Same call, different gas each time.
Cause: a shared EVM cancelled by a stale goroutine from a finished request. The aborted call returns err==nil, so the search reads a failure as success.

It is my experience as well! When people claims otherwise and shit on anthropic I am flabbergasted! Openai burns tokens and usage far more faster ! A single day enough to exhaust 20$ seat with Luna!

Honest Question
Forget north-south division, What exactly is the benfit for common Indians of having more MPs in India ?
Tell me one MP who has done any significant work for the LS area or seat it represents ?
It will jist cost Indian taxpayers expenses for 300 more VVIP MPs.
Tatum integrates with @WalrusProtocol,bringing a new way to access and work with large-scale blockchain datasets.
Accessing #blockchain data has traditionally meant slow, expensive RPC-based reconstruction.
With Walrus, we’re moving to:
✅ Instant dataset access,no more rebuilding data pipelines
✅ Structured, programmable data, ready for analytics & #AI
✅ Decentralized delivery, without sacrificing performance
This unlocks new possibilities for:
-AI agents training on onchain activity
-Analytics platforms at scale
-Data-driven #Web3 applications
Data from #Ethereum, #Bitcoin, and #BSC is now available in a faster, structured, and AI-ready format.
This is just Phase One, with more networks and datasets coming soon.

Dear Government,
You know how much I spend on coffee daily.
But I don’t know how much you spent on this poor road.
We need one website for all infra- roads, hospitals, etc.
It should show names of builders, babus, ministers & total cost.
Time for digital accountability now!

Obsidian is weird:
- 7 full-time employees
- ~1 million users per employee
- fully remote
- 1 in-person meetup per year
- no scheduled meetings
- no stand-ups
- deep focus is prioritized
- our manifesto guides our product
What works for us may not work for you.

There are a lot of things that people hate in India. But the hate is usually divided amongst many things, ranging from actors to artisans. From two wheeler riders to privately owned cricket teams.
But one thing that most Indians hate uniformly, across all strata of the society, are govt servants. Other than the respect that their position entails, most Indians don't like govt servants.
They think they are petty, dictatorial, egotistic, create unnecessary roadblocks and raise pointless issues. And more importantly, everyone thinks they are corrupt.
And the numerous cases of ridiculous corruption, ranging from a clerk to a collector, that we read about, validates this assertion.
If ever there was a MasterCard Family Fortune question "Give us one word that describes Indian govt servants" the most popular answer would be Corrupt.
This penchant for corruption sometimes surprises me.
Because in India, you have to be genuinely blessed to get a govt job.
Not because of the money, job security, assured promotion, lifelong pension, health insurance sort of things. Those things don't matter in the grand scheme of life.
You are blessed, because you are among the few people who get the opportunity to do god's work on earth. You get to be in a position that can change lives.
You can alleviate people from years of suffering and misery with the stroke of a pen.
You can emancipate generations with a single order.
Your can liberate people from tormented lives with a single signature.
You can enable opportunities that people didn't know existed.
What you think is mundane and boring work, can bring prosperity and happiness for thousands of people for decades together.
You can remove obstacles that people pray to Lord Ganesha for.
You can nurture aspirations like Lord Vishnu and destroy evil like Lord Shiva.
You are in a position where what you do shall be remembered by hundreds of people for hundreds of years, long after you have gone away.
You have the opportunity to occupy the sacred space that is usually reserved for Gods.
You can literally change the world.
But then a lot of govt employees trade all this for something as petty as money.
It's like trading an iPhone pro max for a rotten lemon.
Some even go to ridiculous lengths to earn that extra crore over the hundred or so crore they have already accumulated. They harm people, destroy innocent lives, risk dishonour and disrespect, all for some additional zeros in their bank account, which they will never probably use.
Every Govt employee has a chance to leave a legacy that will last forever.
But many choose to earn cash over that.
In the Maslow's hierarchy of needs, money is classified at the bottom, along with food and sex. It is supposed to be a basic need a need that people need to evolve out of.
Our Purusartha, the goals of life, also puts money at the bottom.
The highest layer is something called Self Actualization. Or what the Purusartha calles, Moksha. People are supposed to get there. Or at least aspire to get there.
Govt employees get the 12-lane expressway to reach self-actualization or Moksha
Why many choose something as mundane as money over this, is beyond me.
