Well this app was supposed to be ready by shipaton but I guess taking almost a month for an approval is the norm now. Should've known better

September ended at 416 followers but I was hoping for 500, so a little disappointed I didn’t make it but still happy to see how far i got. I started the month at 93. And somewhere along the way, I got to know people I’m now excited to see on my feed and talk to. I’m a developer and dad trying to build something of my own in the time I have. Getting to meet other people who are taking a shot at their own ideas has been one of my favorite parts of sharing here. The goal was always to make good connections, and I’ve had some really great conversations this month. That makes it hard to look at 414 and feel like I failed. So I’m going to try to double it in October. Maybe even reach 1,000 by November. I’d love to see how many more people I get to know along the way. If you’ve been following me for a bit, thank you. I’m honestly having a lot of fun getting to know you and seeing what you’re building. Let’s keep helping each other out. LFG 💪!

I really wanted to have this app ready before the #shipaton deadline, but life had other plans. It’s almost done, and I’ve learned a lot over the last two weeks building a fully native iOS app. Honestly, I don’t see myself going back to Expo unless I venture into Android land. I’ll share more once Apple decides it’s worthy of approval but for now, here’s a sneak peek.

46k is looking pretty good from where I stand. Just keep going. That can literally double or triple overnight with one post.

I haven’t been posting my MRR updates because, to be honest, it’s been discouraging. I haven’t had a single new subscriber. Instead, I lost two. My MRR is lower than it was before and the amount of new users also decreased. I know this is part of the process, but it’s hard when you have little to no time to work on improving things. This is a reminder to myself and anyone else struggling right now: if you want to build something for yourself, you have to be willing to put in the work and suffer through stretches like this. Otherwise, it’s easy to turn around and keep doing what you were doing. X is full of success posts and impressive numbers. But we don’t always see the time, effort, and failed experiments it took to get there. And some posts don’t tell the whole story. Not every day will be great. But if you’re determined to build something for yourself and hopefully gain more freedom, the decisions you make on days like this matter. So if you’re in the same boat, keep going. Make connections, experiment, and learn from your mistakes.
