New day, new encryption benchmark โก
I rebuilt a React Native E2EE chat with Signal Protocol.
Results from 10 messages:
โข 9.11 ms average encryption
โข 450.08 ms average decryption
In this benchmark, OpenMLS isnโt even close. Its cryptography runs in native Rust through Nitro Modules + JSI.
This is why performance-critical crypto belongs on the native side.
