We have an internal C++ version of react-native-css (the Nativewind engine) that we'll publish in the next week or so as we further explore performance improvements.
It will be free and will be available as react-native-css v4.0 after an RC period.

This version fixes fast refresh on React Native 0.83+ and Expo SDK 55 and 56.
Adding a new class while the app is running updates in real-time again. No full restart needed.
