It is not surprising that Arctic sea ice is expanding. This summer was coldest on record at the North Pole - which never got above freezing this year. You won't hear about this from @NPR the @BBC or the @nytimes ocean.dmi.dk/arctic/meant80n…
Arctic sea ice extent has increased more than 25% since @algore won the @NobelPrize in October 2007 🤡🤡🤡 noaadata.apps.nsidc.org/NOAA… noaadata.apps.nsidc.org/NOAA…

The climate alarmists rarely mention a fundamental geographical fact: Earth is in the Quaternary Ice Age. We are simply living through a warm interglacial period—known as the Holocene. Over the last 250 years, global temperatures shifted only 1.1°C to 1.4°C, bringing our global average to around 15°C. How does this compare to Earth's broader history? It is drastically cooler than the planet's long-term baseline range of 18°C to 26°C, a threshold that characterised geological history before the current ice age era. The climate narrative treats carbon dioxide as if it has somehow become a toxic modern pollutant, omitting the fact that CO₂ levels have been sitting at historic low levels for millions of years. Historically, these depleted levels—dropping to a ~180 ppm floor during glacial peak levels—led to hyper-aridness, expanding dry savannahs and severely reduced global biomass. The natural baseline of our planet demonstrates that warmth and elevated carbon are primary drivers of a greener biological expansion. To generate catastrophic sea-level models, computer simulations would require a rapid, uniform melting of global ice caps. But this scenario ignores planetary geography. Past ice-melts came from vast prehistoric sheets—like the Laurentide and Fennoscandian—which extended far into mid-latitudes. They all melted long ago. This were far more vulnerable to solar warmth than today's polar ice caps sitting over the Antarctic landmass and Arctic Ocean basin. The poles are oceanographically and meteorologically isolated from warm tropical currents. Because of this, a sudden, runaway collapse of polar stability is structurally impossible. The entire system is anchored by deep ocean dynamics that models consistently oversimplify. Even if we looked at extreme historical melt events, the mathematical models behind today's 'climate doom' scenario would all collapse. Following the end of the Last Glacial Maximum 19,000 years ago—when massive, vulnerable ice sheets sat directly exposed on land across Europe and North America—the average rate of sea-level rise was only 1.33 cm per year over a 9,000-year thaw, not even crawling pace.

In 2016, the Netherlands Meteorological Institute adjusted temperatures at De Bilt, the country's main climate station. Daily maximums from 1901 to 1950 were lowered by up to 1.9C, which removed 16 of 23 heatwaves from the record. The altered data were then used to claim modern heatwaves were unprecedented. Four researchers challenged the changes, but the institute dismissed the criticism, so the analysis went to peer review. In 2021, it was published, conclusively demonstrating the institute's method systematically erased historical heat extremes. Today, the Meteorological Institute has quietly changed its approach, and as a result, seven erased heatwaves have been restored, including the extreme summer of 1947. Here again, we have a government agency caught rewriting climate history. The Netherlands Meteorological Institute erased heatwaves of the past, ignored critics, and reinstated the truth only when the evidence became impossible to ignore. Policies were built on that manipulated record. Dutch farmers lost livelihoods. Industry and the wider economy paid the price. But accountability is coming.

Last year the surface of the Greenland Ice Sheet gained a record amount of ice, and this year it is gaining mass even faster - about 25 billion tons of new snow already this month. polarportal.dk/en/greenland/…
The surface of the Greenland Ice Sheet gained 518 billion tons of new ice over the past year, which is 40% above the 1981-2020 average. Ice gain has been above average in six of the last nine years. polarportal.dk/en/greenland/…

History has been made! ✏️ 📖 No hurricanes have formed in the North Atlantic Ocean so far this year. This is the FIRST time on record in the satellite era (since 1966) that we have made it to September 12th without at least one Atlantic hurricane yet in the calendar year. This is also the first time since at least 1941 that this has happened. Year-to-date ACE is lowest since 1941 as well. If we get through September 21st without any hurricane formations, it will be the first time since 1914 (there were none that season). Can we get there? Nine days to go. The NHC thinks we will notch at least seven more. The race is on.

A new study confirms the Medieval Warm Period was warmer than today. Published in Communications, Earth and Environment, researchers found leafy moss buried 36 feet deep in Antarctica's Boulder Clay Glacier, dated to around 1,000 years ago, right in the middle of the Medieval Warm Period. During this time, parts of Antarctica were warm enough for meltwater to carve a 4km long channel through what is now a permanently frozen glacier. Ice that never melts today once hosted moss and flowing streams. The Medieval Warm Period wasn't a myth, as some climate activists have tried to claim. The physical proof is there: moss, melt channels and layered sediments all tell the same story, as do proxy records from around the world... The planet was warmer just 1,000 years ago.

This is nonsense. Over the last century, there has been no increase in heatwaves in the United States, as confirmed in a new paper just published in the Journal of Theoretical and Applied Climatology. Today, NASA satellites confirm Earth is greening dramatically. CO₂ fertilisation has added biomass equivalent to two continents of new forest in recent decades, boosting crop yields and ecosystems alike. Oceans, holding around 50 times more carbon than the atmosphere, continue their ancient dance of absorption, circulation and outgassing under Henry’s Law. The natural world keeps working its wonders. The real question isn’t whether CO₂ is 'pollution', but how we pursue genuine abundance and resilience while staying humble before these vast systems. – at Bega, New South Wales
