I’ll stop using this account as I don’t want to support this platform any longer. I‘ll keep the account around to allow people to find me on Mastodon and make their move easier.

It seems no matter where I go, I find myself wishing that companies would employ (engineering) historians.
Someone who would interview employees and read docs and then write chapters about each major component of a company and how it got to be the way it did.

Instruments also groups events by view type, so when several instances are simultaneously on screen I find it easier to find out what happens with each one of them.
But of course I still find SwiftUI Instruments tools invaluable in other scenarios.

I quite like being able to understand how the UI I am working on behaves at a glance, but Instruments mostly logs tons of events that lack a consolidated view AFAIK. This is why I wrote this helper.
Or use Instruments SwiftUI body instrument!
Interested in inspecting how many times a SwiftUI view body is evaluated? Here is a gist that might help: gist.github.com/defagos/6758…

I also happen to know some folks in associated fields (like legal) who are looking.
I also know IT people looking! (Just most people who see my tweets are not IT

Are you hiring privacy or information security folks? I know a number of really excellent folks who are coincidentally looking for work for exactly the reason you think they are.
