We’re kicking off a packed day of EPI events at #LDConf at 11:30 with @AQA
Ellie Harris (@TheDifferenceEd), David Laws, @natalieperera1, Phil Sayles, @SchwitzerEd & @munirawilson will discuss inclusive curriculum & assessment reform and its wider impact.
We’re opening the day, at 11:30, with @AQA to ask: what would a Curriculum & Assessment system that works for everyone look like? We’ll explore how inclusive reform could address wider challenges incl. pupil absence and wellbeing.

Liverpool Football Club welcomes the introduction of the Hillsborough Law, a landmark legislation that stands as a legacy for the 97.

I made a promise that as Prime Minister, I would bring in the Hillsborough Law, making sure the state can never hide from the people they are supposed to serve.
Today, I make good on that promise.
ALT I first met Margaret Aspinall as the Director of Public Prosecutions, and found her courage, and the strength of all the Hillsborough families and survivors, utterly breathtaking. Faced with smears and lies about their loved ones, they held onto the truth and battled for decades to prove it. I made a promise to her, and to many others who faced terrible tragedies - incredible campaigners like Pooja Kanda and Figen Murray - that I would act so no one else would need to suffer the way they had. Today, I am proud to be making good on the promise I made to Margaret by bringing in the Hillsborough Law. I know nothing can ever undo the years of injustice those families have endured. But I hope it can add to the already profound legacy they have created in memory of the 97. We’re delighted to share with you on #NationalNumeracyDay that we've spent the last year working on an exciting and brand new numeracy assessment that focuses on real-world maths.

AQA welcomes the publication of the interim report of the Curriculum and Assessment Review. In our submission to the review’s call for evidence, we highlighted that exams work and that GCSEs and A-levels are robust and respected routes that prepare students for further study. 1/8

It was great to host our local MP, @AfzalKhanMCR, at our Manchester office this afternoon, when he met staff and members of our Student Advisory Group to talk about exams and education.
Great to see this @SchoolsWeek piece published outlining the evolutionary approach we're taking to the Government's Curriculum and Assessment Review

As a council we’ve worked to install on street e-bike bays but @limebike have been consistently putting huge amounts of these bikes in this spot in the last week, blocking the pavement.
As @JoRigby_Balham says please work with us here and stop deploying the bikes in this way
