The chain is working with the company founded by Peter Theil and Alex Karp to track employee illnesses, Health Department scores, food safety issues and more.

This is true both virtually and physically. The end result of “connecting everyone” (ie removing all borders & distinctions) is the inevitable emergence of network states. You can already see it happening; as public trust & life continue to degrade, people are increasingly retreating to sealed home-fortresses, connected to the outside world by food delivery, online shopping, & facetime, traveled between in cars. The prevalence of headphones in public is another sign. Everyone is sealing off
