Day 1 of the Investor Readiness Bootcamp was all about shifting mindset and understanding what really drives startup funding decisions One key takeaway from the session: “Not all funding is the same: grants, equity, venture capital, each serves a different purpose and understanding the right funding option can make or break your startup journey.” - Asma Bouzaidi (Senior Investment Associate (Tunisia), Flat6Labs) We also explored a powerful truth: “Investors don’t just invest in ideas, they invest in teams and execution.” - Faten Aissi (Director of Global Partnerships, Flat6Labs) For many founders, this reframe was critical, moving from just building ideas to building strong, execution-ready teams with clear strategies. Day 1 set the tone: clarity on funding paths, and a deeper understanding of what investors truly look for #InvestorReadiness #StartupUganda #Bootcamp #Entrepreneurship #VentureCapital #Innovation
